I'm not really a fan of the new collar or the blue shoulders at all but I guess the jersey is only half in the shot so I'll give it a chance for now.

We have ISC to blame for that, all ISC jerseys in the NRL are getting that collar in 2016. I think they used to have that collar back in 2007-and-previous times.

I notice Tama Koopu is one of only 3 or 4 NSW cup players who have come back early to train, and I think he was in the part time squad last year.
He didn't look super fit in 2015, but he still had a lot of impact for short minutes, and in the NSW cup finals he played longer minutes and had some great runs.
At 21, I think he will go pretty well next year.
Levi is back early too, and he looks fitter than in the finals a few months ago.

It's easy to forget how young Koopu is because he's been in & out of the teams for a few years. I thought he was a 23-24 year old journeyman who wasn't good enough at 20 but kept punching away until I remembered he had a few NYC games in 2014. He's still got plenty of time.

I remember his few games in 2014 and he was a beast, looked exactly like Russell Packer. I was surprised he didn't get any more games that year. This year he looked pretty good, runs hard and fast and gets involved, with a full off-season he could be in the running although it may take him another few years to get his fitness up to NRL level. The Saifiti brothers look well above the other guys at the moment. I wonder what's happened to Jah Pakau.

I think he has been a fulltime uni student till this year, which is why he hasn't put in as much time as he could have. He only played 13 games of NYC over two seasons, and didn't get real serious in NSW cup till halfway through the season.

So there are 30 player profile up for the firstgrade squad - but still no Pat Mataútia.
Others have said they have seen him in the training pics, but I haven't.
Braidie Smith is training with the top squad. His stats last year were interesting. He went from a guy who made good metres in attack the year before to not making many metres, but being one of our best in defence.

Vailea is a forward. Won an under 20's premiership a few years ago with Penrith and I think he played for Wyong last year though I could be wrong. There's a highlight video of him on YouTube that I watched a few weeks ago. Doesn't look very skilful but he's a big bopper so he could be helpful.

I assumed he was just a NSW Cup signing but maybe not if he's already got a profile.

Cogger's profile has been changed from 75kg to 78kg.
That makes him bigger than Luke Walsh, but i'd still like to see him keep bulking up.

I was also confused as to who Tekina Vailea was as I had seen a few photos on some of the guys' social media. Came out of nowhere but nothing wrong with more depth I guess.
