I think he has been a fulltime uni student till this year, which is why he hasn't put in as much time as he could have. He only played 13 games of NYC over two seasons, and didn't get real serious in NSW cup till halfway through the season.It's easy to forget how young Koopu is because he's been in & out of the teams for a few years. I thought he was a 23-24 year old journeyman who wasn't good enough at 20 but kept punching away until I remembered he had a few NYC games in 2014. He's still got plenty of time.
So there are 30 player profile up for the firstgrade squad - but still no Pat Mataútia.
Others have said they have seen him in the training pics, but I haven't.
Braidie Smith is training with the top squad. His stats last year were interesting. He went from a guy who made good metres in attack the year before to not making many metres, but being one of our best in defence.
