Just looked at the last five results against the Roosters. All close games but all loses.

Was absolutely filthy at that 8-12 game, with that try that was awarded that was a knock on, should have won that and avoided the spoon.

I think back on watching the Cowboys in 2015? When they made the GF but every game they were more bashed up, more injuries. They could barely field a team in the GF. They rolled over

Yeah 2017, Taumololo was an animal back then and off the back of him, Thurston admitted in his book he was geeing him up every week talking about how the media were comparing him to guys like Nathan Brown Eels (I cant remember who else) but it was like a different player each week to motivate him and Taumololo made it his mission to run the bloke over every week until the GF.
Shame he dropped off that level over the last few years but still playing at a high level

Our results against the Chooks this season are a bit misleading. I thought we were the better team in both games, we were just low on troops those games, with Roosters being full strength.

Rd 7 loss - no Ponga, Best, Lucas, Friz
Rd 21 loss - no Ponga, Gagai, Jsaf, McEwen, and in game injuries to Lucas and Brown.

Yes it is our first ever (men’s) Grand Final thread!!! The site was around in 2001, but no forum until late 2005.

I was just thinking last night, I remember I couldn’t sleep after the 2001 Grand Final and stayed up late to update the site with all the pics I could find across the internet (which was probably about 10 pics across various news websites in those days haha).

Funny to think how little social media there was in those days, it was sooooo long ago!!!

The last 20 mins was definitely something, defending that lead again...Just amazed Penrith couldn't score and create any sort of gap. Definitely missed Cleary's passes.
