Watching and listening to Fox and NRL360 is just inviting unhappiness into our lives.
Both organisations have never recovered from Chief’s moral and ethical action in the Super League war.
It’s time for both organisations to get better, not bitter as their mode of operations since the late 1990s.
I avoid having anything to do with either, as they astound me with their empty vessel comments, biased reporting, and playing favourites with teams they played for.
It is an echo chamber, where racing to the bottom has become an art form.

What scares me now is who ever reffs our game is going to have somewhere in the back of their mind that Newcastle had the rub of the green and now they will be worried if they may a call that goes our way that might change the momentum of the game they could be dropped so now they just wont give that 50/50 call

Regarding the Frizell no penalty, I think the problem is the constant changing of interpretation throughout the year. I thought u could run back looking at the ball to catch long as u don’t change your line. At some point someone has to call for the ball, Sharpe in this case being the fullback. Leka crashes into Frizell early and was never going to get in the air for a contest. These have been a bit of a lottery all year, some penalised some not. We just got one, with Klein brave enough to make a call.
I think Klein refs a really good game, didn’t put up with any playing for penalties/injuries, let the game flow really well. Was enjoyable footy to watch, he’s reffed similar games to a high standard. Adam Gee the week before was stop start and lost complete control, ya got no idea what he’s going to call.

Did channel 9 do their usual in the sheds thing in their post game? I watched the one from the Rabbitohs game and it was pretty good but can’t find one for the warriors game.

One and only time I’ve felt sympathy for the Chooks is when they went back to back and all anyone could talk about was the botched six again call. Raiders had 50 tackles in the Roosters red zone to score that go ahead try but yeah sure one more set, that would have been the one. Sure.

I’m happy for them to keep banging on about it and for us to keep flying under the radar. I know what team I saw deservedly win the game.
Let's face it, we are playing Penrith and know that all the 50/50 calls will go their way.....it's just how it is, we just need to be extra clean with what we do.
In saying that half the time players have no idea what a set restart is called for which makes it very hard to clean up any further indiscretion.
All the struggling coal miners I know , retired early with plenty & are living the dream

Just on this. Almost every major podcast & tv show that chatted about our game spent the majority of that segment talking about those contentious late game refereeing calls. Like 15 minutes on the game, ten minutes about the referees and how there is a refereeing crisis and they decide results too much and they're so bad. Then that was followed by a couple minutes on those horrible fans who were so mad at the referees that they threw stuff at them and how those ferals should get lifelong bans.
It's the height of hypocritical sanctimony to pretend like the things aren't related. I agree. We all need to be better.
And I know I said in reply to you just upthread that I don’t care what the podcasts and shows say …
But It is quite funny the difference in narrative between the Dolphins beating the Warriors (they looked so good, they’re going to be so difficult to stop this year, one hand on the premiership, etc) vs the Knights (refs stuffed up, Warriors are busted, they’re no chance vs the Panthers)
But absolutely, there’s certain commentators who just default to “the ref’s got that wrong!” (Steve Roach is the absolute worst at it). They create the narrative that the refs are absolutely hopeless, nit pick over every single decision, because they’re realised outrage gets clicks. Watch a game from the 90s and they pretty much just got on with it.

Play it in slo mo! Stop the game so they can go back and go over that incident in forensic detail to make sure they get the right call! What a disgrace! Warriors dudded!

I watched one podcast thing where the guy said he couldn’t see a touch on the pass to Best initially, but then there was an angle after a while where he did see a touch, but because it took so long that meant there was so much doubt that it shouldn’t have been overturned.

On every podcast I watched yesterday there's also been complete confusion around who challenged what, when the Warriors lost their challenge, and whether the Warriors could have challenged the final play, too. I'd love to see the circus if any of these people were in charge of decisions.
