NRL Round 23 - Knights Vs Raiders - 2:00pm Sunday, 9th of August - GIO Stadium

I dunno what it is with us vs the Raiders, they're always close, frustrating matches. Maybe all the ex-Knights in their side?

Anyway, glad we got the two points. Unlike most I'm happy to see us get these challenging matches, because that's what the finals are like ... they're not usually 40 point error-free romps, they're close games with errors, and knowing how to react to those errors is a big part of winning them. We did that really well today, resilience rating is high.

Now what should be a much easier game vs the Titans, then we can keep growing against a desperate Manly and finish with a massive challenge against the Warriors.
Yeah it’s all the ex-players, they definitely get themselves up for these games no matter the circumstances

My god I’d love to hear Klein explain how Gags gets hit in the head twice and yet somehow the penalty goes against him. That’s atrocious.

Can Klein get fired and then shot into the @$%#ing Sun already? Biggest piece of **** ref everyone hates. Had to challenge and get the bunker to overrule the low morale, pathetic piece of **** ref. How the %&$& can an imbelic addicted gambler keep the sanctity of the game. #@&% off
It actually is a disgrace that he's considered the best referee in the game. Like, how? It was so obvious he was trying to conjure up a win for the Raiders today.

Does this show how bad a fit AOB was or how good a fit Holbrook is (or both?)

I’m reluctant to call AOB a bad coach as we did have some good times but never played this tough and enterprising at same time.

Also are finals locked in? If so that’s 5/7 finals series. Many teams would love that so it always surprises me why everyone always says the “knights have had a few rough years”. Last year was awful but otherwise we aren’t a bad team

The commentators would have started laughing with him and cheering him on, saying how smart they are, we know it
It’s not the sort of thing the Knights do but it was great to see them using their heads. KP as well with the challenge on Gags penalty. The less said about the rest of his game the better but that was smart and he was right to argue the point

I think AOB was pretty bad. Holbrook appears to have the respect of the dressing room. Seems the players always take an opportunity to give him credit. Can’t remember that with AoB but maybe rose tinted glasses

We nearly snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, but the best team won.
Hopefully that will be Pongas worst game this year. Gags mainly rocks with 1 or 2 diamonds as well.
I thought our young forwards did themselves proud against a very experienced pack.
Again if this was 2025 we lose that game. Holbrook is the coach we have needed for years.
Very happy with the 2 points, and no apparent injuries.
Leaves us in a promising position to get a home semi by finishing 5th or 6th.
Well done Knights!

I think both. AOB was a bad fit. With the players with have, especially KP you want to play attacking footy first and foremost. He wasted so many players ability trying to fit them into his mould of how he wanted to play. You coach the olayers you have and coach to their strengths, not to the players you wish you had

Holbrook seems to be the perfect fit, personality wise (he actually has one) and coaching wise

Great win, great resilience from the whole team. Younger inexperienced players really held their own. Also, I didn’t even notice brandys commentary this week, must have bet on us this week.
