Dreadful day for NZ, dodnt make the most of things with the bat, not helped by umpiring decisions, and losing Tickner to concussion is a huge blow. Foulkes is trash and shouldn’t even be in the squad, imo, so he’s not a good replacement at all. NZ boned. :(

Still not much left in this bowling attack after Smith and O’Rourke, so plenty of chances for England to get close. Sears looks well down on pace, I think injuries have caught up with him.

I’d be bringing Santner on for a spell now if I was Latham.
 
Much better day for NZ, and I’m happy to admit I was wrong and Foulkes bowled great!

Watched half the day … looks like the heat has got the pitch breaking up and doing some weird things. Was a really good toss to win. Would be great if Ravindra and Mitchell could put on another 100, but I think a lead of just 300 is going to be pretty difficult to chase.

Anyway, NZ start the fourth day 200 ahead and 3 down, a pretty strong position! Series could be decided today!
 
A super gutsy 100 off 240 balls from Daryl Mitchell, that will go down as one of NZ’s great test match innings.

Finger injuries to to of NZ bowlers, so O’Rourke could only manage one ball (dropped caught and bowled caused the injury) and Sears was even more down on pace. NZ attack in a lot of trouble.

So no idea what England were doing, but they just went for a big slog and are 103/4 off 15 overs at stumps. 270 still required. Root still at the crease but not much else left for England, Brook, Duckett and Stokes all gone.

And Stokes retiring from international cricket after this!

Crazy day’s play, but it might be a series win for NZ tomorrow!
 
Yeah, felt like Stokes wanted to have one last Bazball innings and was going to slog to his heart’s content. Hopefully the combination of steady accumulation from Root and Gay alongside NZ’s depleted bowling stocks will mean a remarkable victory for England!

P.S. Bizarre leave from Bethell. Really got his angles wrong on that one.
 
A sad end to the career of a great player.

Enough is enough. Baz must be sacked at the end of this match!

It’s 1 year until the Ashes start in England and our best chance for a long time to beat them in England.
