I can't help thinking it's an incredible coincidence that all these guys are good to go as soon as we look to be entering a period of winnable games.
Maybe a few like Best, Friz and Ponga could have rushed back last week, but we made a choice to have a full squad at a time the draw looks to favour us.
Either that, or the footy gods are finally answering my prayers.

14-17 doesn't really mean anything this year.

In Round 2 we used players 18 and 19 instead of two players that were named in the 17.

Round 5 we used player 19 instead of no 17.

Hunt is only going to get on the field if we need a back.

Yep, it might be just a bit of recognition for his efforts filling in that he’s got the 17 jersey. But really doesn’t mean anything for his chances of getting on the field.

From what the coach said the other day, it sounded like KP, Best and Friz should at least play. Sounds like Lucas is more 50/50 though

Yeah you are right, Lucas is the one coming back a couple weeks early if he plays the rest are 1 week early.

There isn't really an 18th man anymore. Any of 14-19 can be used.

If Hunt is on a development deal still, he probably only gets a good payday if he's in the 19, and we probably want to keep him happy.
Even if he doesn't play, he's a perfect 19. He can cover any injuries from 1-6 and do a good job.

100% need to get him a bit of cup time too. So he can run a muck and work on his hands and positioning.

I’d rather lose the games that we were pegged to lose due to injury than those we were pegged to win. If held back from the Panthers game to make absolute sure tgey are ready, then I can live with that.
Having said that, Rabbits are going to be a big test. Would much prefer Dragons.
