The Knights havent done that, ever. We've always tried to produce our own and buy middle of the road trash from others to supplement our roster.

Seve is still only 16 now, turns 17 in December from memory. The youtube highlight video is from Renouf Shield which is the Year 8 comp so he'd be 13 or 14 at most.

POS on record as saying he will stake his reputation on our middle forward rotation next year. I can see where you are coming from, but I'll trust him on that. For mine, it will be very interesting to see which middle forwards start the year, and even more so which ones finish the year in firsts. Where Crouch and Hopwood end up next year will be interesting to watch.

Yeah I think this will be the clubs mindset, have our core blokes of 3 or so then leave the last two bench spots for rotational players due to their lack of week in week out nrl playing:

Weekly starters:
JSaf
Friz
Mooney

Experienced rotation:
Saulo
Hola
Croker
Jones

Rookie rotation:
Hopwood
Crouch
ESL
Cant
Manuleleau
Sullivan

so our pack will look something like this week on week pending injury and form imo:
8. J Saf
10. Mooney
15. Friz
16. Saulo/Hola/Croker/Jones
17. Hopwood/Crouch/ESL/Cant/Manu/Sullivan

Yeah I still think our forward pack looks quite weak. I don't see the changes we've made hugely improving our limited go-forward this year (imo, our biggest problem in 2025).

With Rugby360, a new TV deal, 2 expansion teams I expect a 30-40 percent jump.

Wonder if the elite players have it in their contracts that they get pumped up whatever the percentage is for the new TV deals.

If Brown doesn't as has been alluded it could be a great value signing with the expansion clubs coming and Rugby360.
 
I consider the biggest issue for players signing or spending much time in Perth is the amount of travelling every second week. So how it that going to play out for the 360 comp? I've heard Tokyo and Lisbon mentioned for possible franchises. How long is the comp? I can't see constant long flights and time zone changes appealing to guys for more than a year or two, even for the dollars.
 
Honestly if we could somehow sign Healey to play 9 and put Crossy at 13 Id expect us to be a top 6 club. Not just because Healey is a very very good hooker (considerably better than Crossy) but because Crossy is considerably better at 13 than he is at 9.

We'd not only be picking up a first class hooker we'd be picking up a first class 13. Its two for the price of one and both players landing in positions of greatest need for squad balance.

Healey is a speculative dream ofc but it makes so much sense.
 
R360 is quite a peculiar thing - I'm extremely sceptical of its legitimacy.

Australian media is consistently reporting it as being Saudi-backed, ie by the Public Investment Fund that funds LIV Golf. That's actually not true - it was something speculated in early reporting but has never been substantiated. As more information has come to light, it has become clear the comp is funded by entirely by private investors, most of whom are from the US and UK, with some private investment coming from the middle-east - now mostly attributed to the UAE. Ie there might be no Saudis involved whatsoever, and there has been zero evidence to suggest any sovereign wealth is involved.

Existing media on the topic is also disproportionately coming from Australian sources, which is bizarre - considering all the major Rugby Union nations in the World appear less concerned about reporting on this "revolutionary" competition than Australian media, who traditionally aren't overly concerned with RU at all. Nothing like inflating an unsubstantiated boogeyman threat just as Broadcast negotiations are about to commence. I'm sure it's all a coincidence though.

Will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
