Havent enjoyed watching us play from the early rounds. And it was similar last season.

Havent missed a minute of football however.

Its a desperate shame the club allowed this to go on for so long that it ended in another wooden spoon. A bitter justification for all those who called for AOB's removal years ago.

Today is sadly just another game where we play a bottom 8 team knowing we're next to no chance of victory. Sad. But happy that this chapter is nearly over.
 
The Eels will definitely win this game.

Imagine if the situation was in reverse for these two teams. People would be gloating about what their team is about to do to the Eels.

However, the situation is not in reverse, and anger, apprehension, and misery are afoot.

Shortly after the game, idiotic Johns will have to start that awful program with his typical suppression of the results that don't suit his preferences, and then he can inevitably talk about Trashrith having a chance in 2025. They won't be wining in 2025; no matter how many times anyone claims the opposite.

Now, what could easily happen in this game? The Eels to score at least thirty points or more, Lomax to get a try, and a final lead of at least six or more. I don't see the Eels winning by anything less than six points, at worst. Penisini will want a try for his milestone game. I may just bet on it.

Just seems crazy to me to totally write Penrith off, especially with the part of the draw they've landed on. Teams 1, 4, 5 and 8 are coming in in much better nick than teams 2, 3 and 6.

Busted Wahs week 1, then Storm or Dogs the week after, both of whom also kind of look like they're in a tailspin. I back them to make it through that.

Then the prelim would be against Canberra or Brisbane and yeah that's the tough one. A prelim against a side like Penrith with all their premiership pedigree is a huge test. A bit like running into the All Blacks in a World Cup semi final, even if you win it might take a lot out of you for the grand final, emotionally as much as anything else.

Here's my prediction for how it will go. Those Raiders vs Broncos games will be off the chain I reckon. If Brisbane had Ezra and Reynolds fit it'd be very interesting, as it stands I think Canberra's pack can stand up to Haas and Walsh alone isn't enough to get them past the Raiders with how they’re going:

To add injury to insult, for some reason going into the season I thought we’d be strong contenders for top 6 🤣 Guess that is the same deluded mindset most of us get into during off season when we’ve rubbed out how ****ing **** we were the year prior! 2026 will be interesting depending on coach and a few more potential recruits. But I’m inclined to pin this post (if I can 🧐) and remind myself in March that we’re generally quite **** and 8th would be ****ing great given how this year went. Or even 12th 😅
