Hard to believe the selections, Brailey had good game last week, 80mins top tackles.
I am hopeful that team will be shuffled about and bench improved

Brown has been out, centre, out and now the six against us! That’s funny. I would have preferred he not played. Now we have to choose we lose Brown kills it. Or we win, avoid the spoon and Brown has a shocker. Haha

I remember back in 2007 we were getting hammered every week towards the end of the season and went into the last Round against a more fancied Tigers side and scored 2 late tries and Kurt Gidley penalty goal got us over the line.

It’s gonna happen again. Knights by 2 in a boil over.

I think there will be more changes to the team if the Tigers can beat the Titans

If we have avoided the spoon, I think some young guys will get their debuts

If we need to win, then there better be a plan for Marzhew and how we combat Moses’ bombs and Lomax out jumping Marzhew. Those 2 tore us apart last time

Yeah Marzhew was out that game. Hunt was up against Lomax. Lomax dominated him in all honesty.

So many teams not scared to give their young talent some game time and will be better for the run, jealous of them having a future mentality while the, Knights are way to scared and I imagine both Crouch and Hopwood will drop of the extended bench as well

Yes agreed that developing the younger ones relates to a better squad but this is Spoon game, ok Titans loose to Tigers we are ok but if not we need to win so best team makes for a more likely good result.
Simple improvements in selected squad is for Brailey to 9, Crossland to 13, Frizell to bench and bring Crouch in for Cant.
We need bench players being able to play a strong 20-30 mins, more if injuries occur not 10-15 at end of game.
I don’t want the spoon.

Yes development is needed for future, we haven’t been involved enough over the past couple of months when our front row/middle has been weakened by injuries and suspension.
We should have had our best playing in firsts, the likes of ESL, Crouch and Hopwood should have been selected at 17 on a rotation basis, one game up two games back at Cup and possibly one of them may have been ready to play longer minutes and help fill the void

That’s right 🤦‍♂️don’t know why I thought it was Marzhew

I still hope we have a plan to combat Moses kicking for Lomax though or we will be in a lot of trouble

Agreed if Lomax can dominate someone as good in the air as Hunt, Marzhews only chance is to pray.

I wouldn’t hold my breath for a plan though otherwise O’brian would have come up with one by now considering it’s one of our biggest weak points and something every team goes to as a free try.

Sadly, I think your right

It looks to me like they've both earned it with their recent Cup form. It would be malpractice to not give them one taste of it before pre-season. Need to know what the step up is like.

Crouch in for Cant seems like a no-brainer. Doesn't hurt to give Hopwood a debut but not sure he's going to give you any more than Salesa-Leaumoana in the same role.

Hopwood not ready for FG yet. Wouldn't do a bad job but would struggle to have any impact. But would be good for him to know how far off the pace he is.

He's definitely improved over the course of the year in Cup which is great. I'd like to see him get another pre-season and another half season of Cup before he debuts.

He doesnt have enough penetration, he isnt explosive or strong enough carrying the ball for FG, yet. Arguably FG standard at everything else though which is a great sign. He's still only 19.

Looks like Cody Hopewood is probably going to debut. Along with Lachlan couch off the bench. Not sure for who yet.
I was going to say Hopwood would be my choice to debut.
He has been steadily improving all season and is one of our best in reserves now.
Crouch is a bit better, but also 3 years older than Hopwood.
