100%. I said that earlier. I hope as club captain Ponga was in the loop . If we are paying Brown 1.3 , Ponga's old man would want 2 mill. But if I was Ponga's dad so would I

Apparently his new contract extension offer will be for 2 mill…not that he deserves that at the moment.

Said this in other thread, we tried Ponga at 6, failed despite having played a fair bit of footy in firsts, now we are trying Sharpe with very few first grade games and expecting success despite playing alongside poor 7s, play him in Cup to develop his game, have half back Coach mentor him or send him back to wing/fullback

What is going wrong with this team. Honestly I have not got a clue, more worryingly, I don't think OB has either.
People point to one out runs and say look, they get gang tackled and thats the reason. That is a laughable take. Look at any NRL team working their way out of their try line, 10m line, they aren't spreading the ball wide from there. And this and last game that is what we have been doing for most of the game due to our endless errors.
Rucking the ball out from your try line, is all about one out runs.
Today it wouldn't matter if we had Andrew Johns at 7 and Jonathon Thurston at 6, you won't win a game with those handling errors.
The standards in the club are poor, sick of watching the Knights play, then watching nearly any other team in the comp and noticing how they do things better than us. More professional, more commitment, more intensity, more urgency. More everything!

Yeah I am struggling to see the light at the end of the tunnel . Might make a cuppa before I go to bed . But I'm to scarred to shut my eyes !

Diabolical handling like I’ve never seen before to be honest. It’s normally a Round 1 and 2 thing but we’ve had 5 games of constant errors.
Marz needs to go back to Cup. His form is just too bad to be near FG. Hopefully Schiller is fit and it can be a straight swap. Outside of that we need a halfback. Neither Cogger or Crossland are close to FG standard halves. Gamble isn’t perfect but ****s on both from a great height. No idea when he’s back though. If it’s still a way off Hastings is the only option. Obi needs to swallow his pride and pick him next week.

He makes a good point though. One injury to an outside back and we had to play McCarthy. Think we’ve played about 6 blokes this year that wouldn’t be near first grade at most clubs in the NRL.

Time for tough decisions and team changes.
Ponga to stay No1, 2 Sharpe, 3 Gagai, 4 Best, 5 McCarthy, 6 Cogger, 7 Hastings, 8 Jones, 9 Brailey, 10 Leo,
11 KPP, 12 Frizell, 13 Elliott, 14 Crossland, 15 Croker, 16 Tyrone T, 17 Cant.
These selections won’t happen based on previous selections but Marzhew had a shocker, Sharpe is a much better 2 than a 6, Gamble out so Cogger and Hastings needed, Jones better to start Tyrone better as impact, sort Frizell and KPP out, right or left until Lucas back then Frizell to bench/middle depending on JSaf fitness. Brailey better 9, Crossland better 14 and gives you flexibility re injuries.

Hastings won't be coming back in, Cogger is back and was already ahead of Hastings in the pecking order.

Ok, watching the press conference, and OB saying we completed the first 9 sets, and didn't throw a lot of footy around in those sets, we didn't fire any bullets as we have been too concerned with completions. I mean what the actual F. This is the same bloke that also sat there saying we tried to throw the footy around too much and didn't get ourselves in to the grind (paraphrasing but that was the gist). Now, when the team is trying to do just that, he's sitting there saying they didn't fire any bullets essentially because they were too concerned with getting in to the grind. I mean complete WHAT THE!
OB - We need to understand what our best attacking footy looks like, what our combinations are like. Yeah OB, that is YOUR JOB, that is what pre-season is for. It's OB's job to work out the teams best attacking footy and coach that, it's OB's job in pre season to work with the combinations and set the team up to perform.
OB - He just said to the team you can't expect to turn up on Sunday and expect it to work, you have to train it. I mean again, is OB AWOL during the week is he? Again, it's his job to coach this stuff.
Also sick of hearing OB sit there and say how the team owes the fans for turning up and having to watch the effort put up.
The person most responsible and how the team performs, is OB.

Our next three games are:
1) Sharks at Newy, I don't know how the team can turn this wreck around enough, to be any chance of winning that.
2) Warriors away, which is always tough for us.
3) Rabbitohs away.
We are staring down the barrel of 2 wins from 8 to start the season, in a season where our draw was again ranked as one of the easiest in the comp.
When will this team learn that there are no easy games in the NRL, you have to turn up every week, every training session, every gym session, to be competitive.
