The more I think about it, the more things point to Pezet coming back.
I know there’ll need to be a sit down and the peace pipe will need to be smoked, but it’s hard to see who else they’d be clearing the decks salary cap-wise to chase after.

Will pezet win us a comp or get us to finals? From what I’ve seen of him so far in first grade tells me that’s highly unlikely. I wouldn’t be breaking the bank for him.
It's clear we need to look at future. Pezet hasn't been a standout in his opportunities he's had though, but he's still very young and raw. We need to get the playing group playing at a high level consistently otherwise it won't matter who we bring in. We were playing good footy against top opposition 2-3 weeks ago and its just gotten VERY lazy out of no-where. Maybe its the tapping on the shoulder, but players have to be better than that.

He's so young and I re-watched his first grade games earlier this season and he has some very impressive attributes you just can't teach. Mitch Moses wasn't an elite half when the Eels brought him back from the Tigers either, but it's so hard to get one unless you do it when they're young & coach up the rest of their game.

I'm not sold on Pezet either (I still have PTSD from Beau Henry) but what are the other options?
You either go for the hail mary or be content with finishing at the bottom of the 8 as your ceiling.

I think with pez as well he has played with a lot of the blokes still on our books. Maybe they rekindle those combinations and actually be effective. Rather then more useless Hastings

The guys 21.. we don't need to work out anything with his old man, if he thinks he has a decent chance of first grade here and we can get him a good offer and the club doesn't look like a basket case when we try and bring him here, we are a good shot.
So we should be more worried about that last point.
