Ponga's finished 10 games this season, making 40% for 2022.

Even if he was doing nothing wrong (unlikely) he should not be putting himself in that position in the first place.

Nowhere near as poor as Pongas efforts for the Knights mate.

Kids the most overrated player I've ever seen has achieved very little but thinks he is JT and John's.

Hopefully he turns it around he has the talent just no desire.

I remember earlier this year Kent said the Warriors should have got better playing away from home for three years because they didn't have any distractions, or some codswallop like that. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I'm still trying to work out his theory that Bennett said to Ponga he should come and challenge himself at the Dolphins, and it should have raised alarm bells when he signed with us after that. So ... we're meant to just not sign him coz Bennett said that?!

If that's how it works can we please go to Nathan Cleary and Harry Grant tomorrow and tell them they should get out of their comfort zone and come challenge themselves at the Knights. If they don't leave it's massive alarm bells for Penrith and Melbourne.

One defence of Ponga you see a lot is that he plays well for QLD because he isn't surrounded by dud players like at the Knights.
IMO your job as one of the highest paid players in the game is to lift and improve your teammates, not rely on them to make you look good.

In any case, there's another highly paid player that gets to run around with a bigger pack of losers than KP. The knights next halfback Luke Brooks!

So, which player is "universally agreed as an overpaid hack" Luke Brooks, and which one is "definitely not overpaid because he wins as many games for QLD as the Knights" Kayln Ponga.

Player A: 2 wins, 2 tries, 10 try assists, 3 line breaks, 12 line break assists

Player B: 3 wins, 4 tries, 6 try assists, 6 line breaks, 8 line break assists
 
It seems more just the culture in Newcastle then Ponga, which has been going on for years, something is up at the club.
We have signed a lot of stars, veterans and top coach's in the past decade and cant seem to make the most of it.
Best year was 2013 making the prim finals and the Brian Smith era he had the team working hard.
