Jake Clifford discussion

1000% should be after CHT solid defender (one of the best defending halves IMO) and developing attacker. With Cliffo that could be damaging. Clune is a handy player and idk if it is his injury he's carrying or if he is just a quality reserve grader. But despite that we still NEED another quality half option. CHT should be our number 1 priority... other than Millie Boyle haha
Warriors won't be letting him go now they've got rid of Nikorima and lost Taylor ... plus he was one of their best this year until "the injury".

We need to be chasing a young superstar prospect stuck behind an established FG pair. And then a marquee half.

Fresh start for 2023 and hope for the best.

Otherwise. Moses and Ponga. Then Hodgson at FB. That would be cheaper too. And much like the Panthers, our fullback wouldn't need to be a ball player or team leader, just a competent workhorse with energy and awareness

They won't get a say if he wants out, he's off contract and wants to test his value on the open market. I reckon make a play

If we have learnt anything about Nathan Brown, it's that if anyone says they want out, he'll help them pack their bags and call them an Uber - doesn't matter who they are or if he has a replacement for them.

his agent managers AOB and a fair few of our top 30, we need a half and would be poised better than most to make a competitive offer.
The same agent Knights said they wouldn't deal with anymore after the Brooks, Luki and Staggs stuff in the off season? I don't know how that works when a bunch of your players already are with him though.

i dont recall the knights making that statement? not very smart if so, refusing to deal with a large % of the player market.

That's not the kind of thing they are going to make a statement on but it was reported at the time we were led to believe we were in the box seat for some of the signings and being played all along to get more money out of their clubs.

Seems like something that happens all the the though a bit nieve to get upset about it.

i didnt mean an actual statement, i just dont remember that being reported by anyone is what i meant.

He ally can't coach, the warriors played like we would against 12 under him
