moga is a big unit.
all the guys who are heavier than him in our squad play prop forward.

So, on the Knights site they are doing depth lists for different positions.

I assume they are listing them in order, but it might only be the opinion of whoever wrote the article, or it might be informed by discussions with the coaching staff.

Anyway, so far we have;

Fullback;
Ponga
Star Toa
Kurt Mann
Conner Watson
Tex Hoy
Edrick Lee

Outside backs;
Edrick Lee
Bradman Best
Hunt
Shibasaki
Tuala
To'a
Moga
Mata'utia
Mann
Hoy
Roberts-Davis

Middle forwards;
Klemmer
Dan Saifiti
Glasby
Jake Saifiti
Josh King
Eseese
Guerra
Saulo
Momoisea
Matt Croker
Connor Watson
Barnett

4 Moga and 5 Hunt I wouldn't want to be running at that side of the field lol. If that was to be picked .

Makes for a formidable defensive and attacking right side combination, Moga is a monster and if he can find an off load Hunt will certainly finish off.

Questions which need to be explored is what is Mogas lateral mobility like and can he stay injury free ?

Eseese article.
O'Brien is quoted as saying that Eseese has good footwork and he wanted him to stay because he has "a point of difference" to the other forwards.
Eseese says over and over that he wants to play the best football of his career and gives reasons he will - lost confidence under Brown - trained really hard this year - gets good vibes from the coach - loves it in Newcastle etc etc.

Interview with Brailey. Just says he's keen to play well really.
The interesting thing about the footage is that it shows the team getting the team photo taken for the year.
33 players in the photo.
All the guys on contracts including development contracts, except Levi is out and Chris Randall is included.
Well spotted about Levi and Randall, I didn't even think to look

Moga would do well to spend time working on his offloads. Probably not suited to the sleight-of-hand no-look flick passes, although that's something he can develop.
His strength and likelihood he'll draw in defenders will open up a passage for his winger to exploit.

For the sake of his knees I hope he cuts out sidestepping, but his build means that he doesn't really need that in his game.

Eseese finally got to start a game last year the result ? Long minutes and MOM performance. His reward from coach Brown ? Back to bench and given the impression he needs to find a new Club. I don't apologise for bagging Brown ad nauseum the more you hear from the players it's easy to see why last year went the way it did.

One thing I like about Obi over Brown is that as good at recruiting as he was, Brown was forever making wholesale changes to the squad. Every year we'd have a fairly significant inflow of new players in key positions.

It would have been easy for Obi to come in and indicate that more changes are needed to make the team that he wanted. Instead, he insisted that we are already a top 4 side and the players added are mostly to round out the squad without huge changes. I'd expect if Brailey wasn't coming in, Levi would be our hooker. The phone call with Herman to reassure him he's wanted is a good sign.

Obi seems like a through-and-through coach who is confident of getting the best from players with training. Brown seemed very reliant on players coming in from already well-coached systems and mimicking what others had coached them to do.

Very well said. Obi has indicated already that players who have contracts will have those contracts honoured and that players are human first. May be a lesson from the Storm system?

Contrast that with what Adam Douhei(sp?) is going through a month out from the start of the comp. Initially he was told by Bennett he would be 5/8 when it looked like Walker might move, then he was told he would be fullback, now he's told he can look for another club.

In fairness, Latrell is a massive upgrade on Doueihi, and Walker ended up re-signing. I'd take Doueihi over Lino or Mann though if that became a possibility.

Pass, plus he had suffered from an ACL tear in 2018 and we’ve learned our lesson in signing players who have had ACL injuries. (Moga, Griffin, etc)

I don't want to go buying him, just pointing out how he is being talked about by Souths. Even if Levi does go to Manly, the stories about him, his attitude etc have stopped.
