Siosaia Vave

You might be overreacting Jaybro. I mean classic example is the Pearce signing, came out of nowhere. We have no idea what will happen between now and February. Vave definitely won’t be the end of the world, will come cheap and will add a bit of grunt and experience to our depth. Won’t be the top line forward we’re after so no need to arrive at Panic Station just yet.
I could well be and if we sign 2 good props plus Vave then I’m fine with not signing Matterson, but signing Vave is the situation as last year when we passed up on other solid players like Matterson because we were chasing ‘marquee props’ but we ended up with Lillyman & Heighington.

I can see what they’re doing, they’re saving their pennies for the big name players they want and if they can’t get them they’ll just sign a stop gap solution and wait for the next year.

Vave is from the Penrith area ( Mt Druitt ) but never played grade for Penrith. The bloke gave me nightmares when I used to play him, ran over me a few times lol

You asked if or was there another vave in the nrl from Penrith,
Being his the only vave of the past 5yrs i said its only him, played for sharks, storm, sharks, manly, parra.

Its depressing but Vave is the best prop on the market.
I think we should sign him he will be a good bench option and won't break the budget.
If we happen to nab some better props he will be good in reserves.
We need atleast some depth if no one else becomes available.
He had a better year this year than Lillyman, J.Saf and King.

Ava Seumanufagai was a good solid prop at the tigers but is now stuck behind a pretty solid front row at the sharks.

If I were brown I'd defiantly be asking the question on his availability

Kade Snowden is over his injuries and played some second div this year, and has started training to play real NRL next year.
Still 5 years younger than Chris Heighington.

Geez, hasn't he fallen off the radar.

Sounds like he's playing just for fun these days. Wonder if he could be tempted to make a comeback?

Wouldn’t be the worst option to fall back on if he’s keen to return to top flight footy and 100% over the injuries which forced him out.

The only people who'd know if he was up to it would be Kade and his doctor, but i'd back him to push his way to firstgrade if we gave him a second tier contract and he was uninjured.
He's basically been out of the game for as long as Willie Mason was, and Willie came back reasonably well for an old guy.
