2018 Jersey Flegg Cup

Hi @Billy. How’s Cooper gone this seems like he’s still scoring tries but appears to be less hype about him than last year?? Could he be a decent back up FB to Ponga or Watson? Do you think he’s why Meaney was allowed to go?
One of our best, especially towards the end of the season.
I think he had 3 games of reserve grade and only looked fair at the level, but Meaney was shocking his first half dozen games in the seniors.
I forgot Fermor scored last week, so Cooper and Fermor are both on 15 tries now.

How come Saulo didnt play?
Can he play next week?
Somehow Brodie Jones got his first game of the year last week after playing reserve grade all season, but this week they said Saulo and Jones can't play.
Starling is the guy who makes the big difference in this grade though. We have plenty of forwards - only 1 really hardworking hooker.

our next 2 games will be live cast on the nswrl website - so If you have the right setup you can watch them on your TV, or on your computer if you are living in the stoneage like me.

no - this year the finals of all the lower grades will be a week before GF day.
I think they might play the NSW v Qld champs games before GF though - don't think it's been announced yet.

Just the Reserve Grade State Championship this year on GF day

Flegg GF played same weekend as ISP GF but haven't heard anything on State Championships

ANZ Stadium

1.15pm: Gates Open
1.35pm: NRL Holden Women’s Premiership Grand Final
3.40pm: NRL Intrust Super State Championship Grand Final

It’s realy unfair that Flegg don’t get to play on Grand Final day. They definitely deserve it.

It's another case of poor scheduling and includes not being able to attend games and see earlier games, Flegg and reserves.
Can't understand why all three grades can't be played together on g/f day

Matt Cooper had a big hand in most of those tries.
I counted up his games and he only played 14 regular season games in Flegg for 13 tries and had 5 games in reserve grade.
2 tries from 2 games in the finals so far.

Hope we hang onto this kid, will be a great replacement for Guerra when he decides to hang the boots up.

Fermor is nothing like Guerra.
He actually reminds me a lot of Tom Hughes.
We bought Tom as a centre/second row and turned him into a winger because he has good speed, footwork and loves to score a try - and Fermor looks the same size and build, has the same footwork and speed, loves to score a try and can run the length of the field if he has to.
With luck Fermor will put on a bit more size and impress the coaches more than Tom has been able to - but gap running second row or centre is his go.
