Rumour: Adam Blair to the Knights

I haven't heard 800k being brought up anywhere, is this recent?
 
Its been reported that the Warriors have tabled a 4yr 2.8mil deal.
Its also been reported that we have matched there offer though only 3yrs.
So my guess is 2mil-ish 3yr deal.
 
I think Brown has alluded to us not offering as much as the Warriors, but it wouldn't be far off either. Maybe 200k less at most.

88 lifer , that puts him at around $666K / yr , not that far off what you'd expect to pay, maybe a little less after last nights display as there is a heap of room to negotiate down.

I have never been a fan of " indiscriminate Late the off load in traffic " as shown, it is fraught with danger especially if the opposition are aware of which Players have been "Open license" by their coach to off load at will.

There is a line of thought which endorses the practice as it is hard to defend against, although it is also hard to set up for Set plays off as well and is high risk, high return- is the risk really worth it ???

Give me the traditional hard and straight power Prop forwards running up the middle in tandem any day.

He wasn't the only one guilty of " Brain Farts" last night , Broncos usually have a hic up leading into the final series just to get everyone back to earth and on the same page I suggest, Not sure they planned it that way but sounds like a plausible excuse.

As long as Blair gets them out of his system before he signs ( if he does at a sensible figure ).
 
I thought he was good in his first year for the Broncos, but let's be honest, even under their system he's fallen away. He just doesn't do enough to justify a 600k pay packet. Maybe 400k. You'd think after all these years the Warriors would learn their lesson, but their organization is not going anywhere if they sign him for 800k & 4 years. Anyone with half a brain can see that will end in tears.

Okay Wobbles, I watch virtually every NRL, when's the last time his thrown a pass like that?

His been given permission to explore other opportunities because Bronc's like every team need to balance their cap.

How about you throw James Graham, Massive neck worries + permission to explore other opportunities = massive contract upgrade.

Sounds a lot more worrying then one bad pass.

That's also true, not arguing with you there. Could also have gone with:

"Changing clubs + Warriors = career suicide"

"Sione + forward pack = concussion"

I might need to flag which of my comments are purely tongue-in-cheek, I'm getting caught out a little lately :shrug:

Im pretty sure he attempted an offload last week that ended in a turn over

Really should retire... his making a fool of himself.

I would be happy to sign Aiden Tolman, a quiet achiever.

Played every game this year, averages 15 hit ups per match for 120 metres, and makes 39 tackles. Would bring some of the Storm training methods and ways of getting things done.

Id love Tolman over any other forward available atm. One of my favorite players... no nonsense hard worker

The only thing I can think is Brown want Blair purely for the off field culture and training. The difference between a successful team and a poor team is the players are teaching the young guys as well as the coach a poor team relies on the coaching team only. Culture is King. Only a thought but makes sense
