Correct James and kurri,

Chief was the boss back then and he took the club where he wanted it to be... brave and smart move.

Dont think we would have the 97 premiership if we had to play the broncos... that broncs team was one of the best 17 ever

Well Brisbane crashed out of the playoffs early in 1996, and Manly were the defending premiers, so I think we were every chance. I actually thought Cronulla were favourites for Super League before it kicked off.

We really don't have a front row rotation ASJ. More of a slow and clumsy to a clumsy and slow.

Just look at our lack of metres. We are the worst go forward side in the NRL with after five rounds being 332 metres beneath what our opposition made. That is fifty metres a game and a prop breaking 100 metres is a rarity for us. The team just can't get in attacking positions on the back of those figures, and conceding so much makes it hard to keep a straight line defence.

On top of that we consistently turn the ball over when within the 10 metres zone in attack.

There's no way Brisbane will offer close to what we're offering, legally at least. I find it hard to believe Brisbane want to have Milford & Bird as their halves too.

Milf and bird in the halves hahahaha id happily let this happen to see those a holes come last

I thought Milf actually looked like a halfback this week. He controlled the game well an his kicking was on. A lot of people wrote him off in the halves when he arrived in Brisbane, me included. I thought Boyd would have been suited in the halves and Milf at the back.

Bird loves the ocean! Last time I checked Brisbane wasn't right on one! Wollongong is and Cronulla, I think Newcastle is too, if he switches to the broncos they must have suitcases, not brown paper bags.

Bird comes from a suburb of Wollongong that is right on Lake Illawarra.
Sounds like Lake Macquarie would be just like home to him.
