I think it may already be a signed and done deal, waiting for the ten day cooling off period.

Hodko and Bird would make a great combination and Lamb can play reggies for a couple of years, on standby for injuries and State of Convenience, and get a little more experience.

Lamb will come into the team by 2019 with Hodko gone imo

We are in need of 2 good experienced props, one like Woods/Graham with rep quality the other with 100+ solid games that wont let u down...
Scott bolton type player, just shows up and does a job.

Thanks for posting that.

Interesting he was a knights fan. And that he idolizes Johns.

I think I read something about the club using some club legends to help with the recruitment of Bird. Any bet Johns was involved?

Matty johns has spoken with a bit!! I know this for a fact.

It's policed, but with TPAs it's a futile effort. You only catch clubs trying to get on a level footing with the Broncos and Roosters.

I thought Joey and the Knights weren't on great terms when we couldn't pay him what he wanted to do halves coaching and the club thought that people can work for free here?

If clubs have registered contracts for a certain amount with the NRL in the belief that the cap was going to be higher, but haven't included TPA's in the contract for that reason, then the full contract amount must come out of the salary cap. Any contracts already registered with the NRL are legally binding, so their is no way around it for clubs in that situation. In saying that, I believe the general policing of the salary cap is poor to say the least, the system is completely corruptible if a club chooses to go that way unfortunately!

He did say he'd work for free here, but we still didn't want him, from memory.

Anyway, he showed up to the most capped players day at the first home game, so I guess the relationship is back on track.

Oh really?, must be newspaper bollocks then. Because Manly were offering good money to coach Foran/DCE and he went there instead. There were even people here photoshopping Manly jerseys on him lol.
That said if it's back on track then that's good to hear also.

I remember him saying he would coach our halves for 1/2 his usual price and Burraston all but told him to xxxx off and that he should do it for free ...

> Supported the Knights as a kid
> Only sees himself in the future playing 5/8 or fullback
> We have $$$ and a young squad on the up

I'm quietly confident, but I feel the inevitability of us missing out as per usual.

I am much more excited about the thought of Graham being a Knight than I was about Scott. Graham would be awesome for the likes of Saifiti, Pauli et al...

We got rid of a better performing player in Taia for Scott which just made no sense ... then Scott's performances got worse while he was here. One of Bennett's many blunders! Graham would be a brilliant signing though, just what we need.
