I agree with the decisions, hunts was a lot worse thans burgess. To be honest a sin bin and penalty is enough as there's nothing wrong with a bit of biff in a contact sport

How could Starling avoid getting the attacking players arm in the position it ended up ? Cited for that. Game well and truly has gone soft Willy.

Thats crap mate. The fact he didn't connect well and Barnett wasn't hurt is luck, and also irrelevant. You can't elbow someone in the head and not get marched the ref has stuffed that call up big time. Whether an injury occurred or not is irrelevant. But we know refs are gun shy now to make any big calls. It's even more disappointing that the judish have graded it so low and he will only miss 2 weeks. Should be 4-6.

Not the right message being sent by the NRL there.

The fact Barnett wasn't ready for it a the issue. An elbow or a fist is fine just send the bloke to the bin to cool down, award the penalty and move on. Barnett wasn't playing fisty cuffs with burgess and there's the issue, that warrants a suspension. But geez don't rid the guy of two months of footy because he's trying to make the sport enjoyable again

Hey 88, watched the replay for Pete's try.

I was wrong, there was some pressure on Hodko. When the ball comes from dummy half we are 5 v 2 on that edge. Souths centre rushes up and Hodko just catches and passed to create a 4 v 1. I guess it was an OK play but, really, Central 3rd grade would be embarrassed if they stuffed something like that up.

Who do we reckon the second best kicker in the team is btw? Sione had one kick that forced a drop out yesterday, buhrer kicked for a try assist. Barnett is handy with the boot too, he's only kicked six less times than hodko this year.

Hodko is still our best kicker even though his not doing much due to his knees.
Lmb is second best but just a bit off with timing/placement atm due to the speed of nrl footy... give it time and he will start to find a groove

He's kicked 10 times in 3 games, he's a part time kicker at the moment.

Sione 1 kick
Barnett 2 kicks

They full time general play kickers now?
Wonder how they would go kicking under pressure with the opposing team knowing there one of the general kickers on the 5th?
Pretty chithouse id say.

I must of missed the announcement, press conference discussion or otherwise, that Hodkinson was not kicking in general play due to his knees? Please fill me in when this was disclosed by the Knights?

Just wow. You seem to think it is ok for a player to get up from a tackle, and elbow the opposing player in the mouth. I can personally find the sport enjoyable without that sort of attack. This isn't MMA!

And for the record I support allowing fighting, and shoulder charges should be back. But not elbows, there needs to be a line.

For mine I think the non kicking is part of the coaching plan. Which is worse tackled on the 6th ten metres out changeover, or kicking it dead or caught in goal for 20 metre restart and seven tackles?

Its been well known that hodko has bad knees and the coach is trying to limit the pressure on using hodko in situations as often as possible.... so 5th tackle shots as he is kicking is one aspect of helping him get through games.... one good hit and his a good change of being sidelined for a mth or more.

Should the club send a email to each nrl play to have it completely out in the open?
Then have him targeted by every grub in each team?
Thiday on Bromwich on Friday night is a prime exaple... every tactic to win is used including attacking a players weak point.

It seems that way, which is ridiculous IMO. Look how many tries/repeat sets the Cowboys/Storm get from short kicks inside the 10
