Congratulations lads, you fought hard.

We don't yet have the troops but we are getting close

Where we lost that game:

1. Our props in the middle didn't create the momentum by rolling up the middle. The hit ups were sporadic, and the tough metres were left for smaller players--not smart against the Rabbits

2. Communication in defense on the edges. Elliott partly to blame. Not sliding in defense and counting numbers

3. Small errors. Mostly rookie errors which is kinda understandable given the age of ouright team. But we really need to learn to hold onto the advantage that we produce for ourselves. If we can learn to capitalize when we have the opportunity, instead of capitulating, we will take a lot of pressure off of our defense
 
What pisses me off is we are good enough to win these games. We should be 3-3 not 1-3. The brain farts & the pitiful defence in our own 20 is killing us.
Clean that up & we are all over a lot of teams
 
Ahh, just got off to a bad start in that second half, panicked a bit and didn't take advantage of the breeze. But a really good effort ... finished the game well on top, despite being down to 12. Souths were good enough to starve us of chances and deserved the win ... but yeah, not far from where we needed to be to win that one!

Didn't really think the refs were that bad, but that scrumfeed in particular looked fine to me ... it hit one of our second rower's legs, so good work from Souths to either rake it back or get the rebound (couldn't quite make out which it was). A shame Hodkinson mouthed off, we needed him out there.

That Barnett lasso was awesome, and how dangerous did Buhrer look in attack?!

See a lot of blame for Ross in the try down his side? Had an inside runner and an outside runner coming at him, I can't blame him for not forseeing the pass from Reynolds and going for the inside man.

You could say that for lots of losing sides in the NRL ... and even us in a lot of games last year.

Unfortunately it takes a while to turn that around, and we're still in the process of doing that - but the good news is we've made huge progress! :)
 
Elliot is the one I was most impressed with - nasty wind, best tactical kicker in the game against him and he was near faultless.
He'll probably be out next week unfortunately.

Too true mate, it's nice to be swearing at the tv because a win is at the fingertips rather than what seems a life time away!

Risky bet. We're much improved but probably still the worst team. We've got more enthusiasm than a lot of sides but I'm not confident there'll be a team that will win less than us. We're still at a point where we'll have a bunch of close losses where we could have won, whereas those poorer sides in the comp will still jag a solid 6-7 wins throughout the year.
 
I'm with you Billy. Considering the bashes and knocks Elliot took, he had a great game and was rock solid under the high ball. My disappointment was with some of more senior players. Stocky dropped the ball three times. Pete had a reasonable game but also contributed to errors. Lost the Foxtel picture due to heavy rain. What did Hodko say so bad he was sin binned?
