Matt Minto and Travis Waddell to leave the Knights

And what of David Fa'alogo ?? Yes he is ageing but that doesn't seem to be holding him back. Our game with Eels demonstrates this. I have a feeling stone wont want to retain him and I will be dirty if we don't keep him for atleast another year.

If Stone decides to re-sign him or not, I'll respect the decision either way. It seems Stone really wants to get the "old boys" image out of the club, which I also hope happens too. A team full of young fit kids raring to go and a few old heads is a better look than the image we've been known for since 2012.

Given he wasn't listed as being farewelled, I think he will be staying on for sure.

The cleanout needed to happen, Mason, Tahu, etc all probably needed to go. Mason still hasn't signed anything with another club so if he wants to keep playing it could be bush footy for the big guy next year. I'm interested to know who will make the step up next year to both first grade and NSW Cup.

Wayne Bennett has said in Knights Insider that Travis Waddell will follow him to Brisbane for next year, as he was unwanted by the Knights for 2015.

Sorry but this just seems to be a mistake. In my opinion I have seen better footy form Wardell than Clydesdale and given the chance he has potential. He would of been a cheap buy for next year.

In addition to this, he is related to Gags, so now we have given gagai another reason to go to the broncos once he is off contract to join both wardell and Hoffman.

He is obviously up Wayne's *** now anyway.

Im sure Mccullough will be stoke playing 55 to 60 a game now!

I reckon it's typical Bennett saying the Knights "don't want him". Makes it sound like were just getting rid of him for the sake of it. Don't worry about the fact that we've got more hookers than Islington.

I know Waddell lived with Bennett when he first joined the Knights for six months, so I don't think there was any way we were ever going to keep him.

No huge loss, I don't think.

Yeah exactly, I think Clydesdale is a better prospect and could potentially run a team from hooker.

He would've been a handy back-up but that just gives an opportunity for Redman and Randall to get more game time next year. Not a huge loss.

People really loved him after his try against Melbourne, which is probably why they wanted him to stay.

Now he's leaving I admit he was offside.

With Jake Granville linked to cowboys it's no wonder Bennett is taking travis as back up to broncos, and Billy might be able to confirm this but I'm sure he said nsw cup boys actually looked better without waddell being first choice surely stone would have noted that.

Even I didn't like him that much after the Melbourne game. Sure he scored a great try, but all I saw was potential. On field his delivery was slow and he was nothing special other than in defence. Clydsdale has stacks more potential regardless and with guys like Randell and Redman waiting for First Grade, and Levi coming through the U20s. Travis Waddell is no huge loss, just means more cap money for 2015 to spend on a big front rower and a new halfback.

Just my opinion of course, but I think Redman is linking better with the halves and the NSW cup side looks better in attack since Waddell went to firstgrade. I don't think they have lost much in defence either. Redders took a while to get used to going from 20 or 30 minutes a game to 70 or 80, but he just thrives on it now.

Waddell going will hardly free up space in the salary cap. He was playing for a pair of thongs and a meat pie. I also think that those only giving him credit for "that" try haven't been watching or have a predetermined opinion of the bloke. He's been very good before and after the Storm game. I will say that if he'd thrown a pass to nobody like Clydesdale did the other week he'd have been hung dawn and quartered. We obviously are well accommodated in the hooker dept so Travis leaving with the rest of the travelling circus is no biggy I just think he's been going a lot better than he gets credit for.

Him going means a young local getting a crack next year. That would be the main reason he's been cut I guess.

I didn't know he was so close to Bennett. I guess that's the reason he got the shot he did which is another dent in Bennett's credibility as far as I'm concerned.
