Official: Dane Gagai signs with Knights effective immediately until end of 2014

Looks like he's bulked up a fair bit in that video, haven't seen him since he was playing a bit of first-grade last year & NYC back in 2010/11 as a skinny fullback/winger. Still not keen on him though.
 
Forget Gagai, Cooper Vuna is off contract for next season, a proven NRL player and I'm sure he'd love to come back.
 
Does Vuna pass though. Team needs a RC that recognizes as long as we have Uate then he is insignificant and there for one reason, to give the ball to Uate in space.
 
Don't need him.

We already have K & W Naiqama, Sa'u, Tahu, Liki, P & C Mata'utia, McKinnon & possibly Smith for depth in the backline.
 
Who wants a Gay guy at the knights?! ;) Is it actually pronounced as Gay-guy? Apparently it is.

But honestly, it's a meh. Either get a prop or get a rocket up their lazy asses.
 
Although i would like to sign this guy in my opinion if a player has his contract terminated due to disciplinary reasons then the NRL has to step in and punish him also , by not letting him sign with another club for a certain amount of time .
Its becoming a joke, a player who is unhappy because he is not getting a run in 1st grade does something wrong a couple of times so the club will sack him and he is free to sign with another club , and as there are 8 clubs chasing him most probably for a lot more money than he was on.
I think this is dead set wrong and needs to be stopped .
 
That's a bit far fetched Ethan ... got an actual example of it happening?

Pretty much every player I can think of who's been sacked has signed for a lot less or lost their opportunity to play in the NRL all together.

Vuna's awesome and I'd love to see him at the Knights again sometime. However, he's nearly a Wallaby now, so he would come at a hefty price and I'm unsure where he'd play with Uate and McManus going great on the wing.

But you look at Gagai and he's only 20. He would come here dirt cheap and is a potential superstar. He was the the best junior kangaroo 2 years running and has been a gun in the centres in QLD Cup. Get his attitude right and he'll be an awesome buy.

He could play Centre couldnt he? Wish we kept him though. Was one of my favourite players.
 
Yeah I use to think Vuna could go alright at centre, but when he played there he didn't really have the passing game.

I really miss Vuna, he was great and really passionate about the Knights and it's fans. I was and still am a massive fan of his and it was sad to see him go ... But as much as I really desperately want him back at the Knights, I just can't imagine he would come here at an affordable price and could possibly be not in the top 17.
