Confirmed: Knights sign Mason for 2012 season

I don't think Midley is the type of guy to be all 'the deal is off' straight away. That article seems very untrue. Bennett calming Gidley down? Sounds quite ridiculous to me.

Yeh first thing I'd do is make him get rid of it. 4 days ago he told a troll to f*ck off because they were faking to be Gordon Tallis having a go at him.

Where's the maturity there? How hard is it to ignore?
 
I dont mind signing him on such a low costing contract but not to sound like a broken record but i would prefer we give the great dane a go first

Taufua got rid of his twitter, didn't he? I thought that was good of him and he seemed genuinely sorry for what he said to Bennett. Good on him imo.

Mason however doesn't learn. He abuses someone on twitter, says sorry and that it wasn't him saying it. Then someone says something to him again and he abuses them. Lol pretty unprofessional tbh.

Maybe the family environment might help him behave ... but agreed, no twitter

How's Josh Ailaomai going at the Rooters ? Shame we couldn't get past a half hearted collision with a Ref and see if in fact he could make the grade.

I did notice when he was close to signing with Wests that he deleted heaps of his old tweets. They probably requested the same sort of thing.

Looking forward to seeing him in a red & blue jersey, adds some much needed aggression and size to the pack aswell. Not a bad pick up for 40k.
 
If he's only getting the $40K plus match payments as reported, might as well take the punt and see what he brings to the pack. I'm not holding my breath for brilliance but hopefully he proves me wrong. At least our forward pack can now say they've got a big Willie

I hope he proves me wrong and set's the field alight. Who put together our squad for this season ? Did Bennett have any input ? Did he think we lacked size before a ball was kicked or was he hoping who we had was good enough ?

yup of course Bennett picked and chose whom he wanted re-signed and who was free to 'test the market' as they politely put it these days...ok...now Mr Mason, show us what ya made of!

i must admit, there has been alot of players i thought we would never sign in a million years or players that would never come back to Newcastle....
