The Roosters can't develop talent mate because no kids live in the Eastern Suburbs. Different population in the area to when they started in 1908, and their junior boundaries were changed. We did well to pinch Mad Dog off them though LOL

What you say is perfectly correct and makes the argument that the Roosters should either merge with Souths or be relocated.......... Maybe not to Perth ..... Eastern suburbs in Western Australia would be just a tad too esoteric!

I would be quite happy with a Walsh and Anasta combination. Would rather use him as a half than a forward.

Could work well, Anasta usually relishes being the primary playmaker.

Gus loves him to bits aswell, got him to the Roosters by himself just about.

He has actually already re-signed for the Roosters until 2013. Unless the Roosters are considering releasing him, its not going to happen. We will end up will Fulton and lose Waterhouse.

have we heard the one about a current international getting towelled up at training today for sleeping with a teamates wife?

Has anyone heard about the rumour that Gibbs and Fulton are linked to the Knights as a package? I reckon it's just name dropping to pump up their price.

It was only a matter of time. Every player that is half decent will be linked to the Knights.

Toddy Payten to retire at the end of the season...

Long serving Wests Tigers prop Todd Payten has today announced his retirement at the end of the 2011 Telstra Premiership season.
The respected front-rower was contracted to the club next season but has decided the time is right to bring down the curtain on a wonderful career that started back in Canberra in 1996.
A Temora junior, Payten has played 253 NRL games in a career that has seen him play at Canberra Raiders and the Sydney Roosters before joining Wests Tigers in 2004. He played in the premiership winning Wests Tigers team in 2005.
Currently recovering from a knee injury, Payten has been the leader of the Wests Tigers pack and has played 145 games for the Club. He hopes to start running by the end of the month.
“I’ve been very fortunate to have been able to play this great game at such a high level for a long time. The game has certainly changed,’’ Payten said.
“Rugby League has been very good to me and I have made some great friends and have some special memories. My years at Wests Tigers have been the best time of my life and I’ve really enjoyed playing under a fantastic coach in Tim Sheens.
“Wests Tigers will always be apart of me. I just want to get back onto the field now as quickly as possible to help the team make the finals.”
