WHO said mining magnate Nathan Tinkler wanted Wayne Bennett to coach the Knights?

We're now hearing Ricky Stuart's name is well and truly in the frame. In fact, we're being told Stuart will be the coach, with his old Cronulla chief executive Richard Fisk in the chair.

And that's apparently the reason why Sharks forward Kade Snowden backflipped after agreeing to terms with Cronulla.

And still on the Knights, no one is trying harder than former Olympic Stadium boss Ken Edwards to get Tinkler's purchase of the NRL club over the line.

There is talk that he will be getting a $1 million bonus once the sale is completed.

Did Rothfield and Stuart get along?

If not this is BS, cause no-one talks to him so he just makes **** up, and comes up with stupid player/coach lists.
 
He should stick with the blues, and stay away from the Knights unless they want to go away from a premiership win in the future :D
 
Tbh i'd rather keep Stone. I like how he's progressing as a coach. Stuart he may be experienced but he just doesn't seem like the right coach for the Knights. He should stick to Origin.

Buzz is a massive Cronulla fan, and loves Ricky they not only get along I think buzz is pregnant with their love child (unconfirmed rumor)

If Ricky comes to the knights I will not support them until he leaves!
 
**** OFF rickeeee!!! The guy is a hack. The only reason I'm not too worried about origin is because he kind of knows how to pick a team, doesn't know how to train them. That's not too bad considering Origin camp is only run about a week or two and thus the way they train isn't as important as the player they play.
 
Tinkler doesn't seem like he's the type of person to settle for second best. If anything Stuart will be our last choice option if we can't get Bennett.
In saying that, everyone knows Ricky wants to coach fulltime so of course he is going to be linked to us. I wouldn't be surprised if were linked to Daniel Anderson sometime in the future too.

I think journalist don't know anymore than we do, so they are resorting to consipiracy theories.

I think Stuart seems quite good at instilling the passion of Origin into the players too. Although he hasn't won an origin game without Andrew Johns in the side yet, so the jury is out.

Rothfield is just making up rubbish as usual, the guy is a borderline psychiatric patient, god knows how he ended up with a job at a daily newspaper.
 
Yeah I reckon Buzz probably went on Sharks Forever and saw it, then decided to make a twist because Fisk is here under TSG, and because of Snowden. Especially considering Ricky will be at the Blues next year I don't think he will be coaching a FG side short-term.
I also hardly think Snowden turned his back on the Sharks because Ricky may or may not coach the Knights, its more to do with his strong affiliation with the Knights and he has said he would love to go back one day MANY times. Oh and cause we have $$$ ;)
Funny its only the ST (I believe) publishing this?
 
What a load of BS!

Stuart will run the club down to the bottom of the ladder even further. I'd rather keep Stone.
 
Yeah Tinkler hasn't said anything about Stuart, he has only mentioned Bennett. Buzz is just speculating because of the circumstances falling into place. That and he's had it in for the Knights since Snowden haha, it was good fun seeing him ****ed off at what happened.
Anyway Im not saying Stuart is the worst signing in the world however considering he is the Blues coach Im certain he wont be here next year.

He was asked if Benny is holding off to see what happens here.

His response was "I bloody hope so"
 
So not saying it's going to happen, but what happens if Stone starts getting a lot of wins under his belt? Should we be chasing Bennett if Stone is more than competent?
