Stone is staying pretty tight-lipped about the halves.

I'd go & hope Stoney goes with:

6. Henry
7. Mullen

I think Stoney is going to go with

1. Kurt
2. Aku
3. Sau
4. Doogs (think he will play)
5. Jimmy Mac
6. Beau
7. Mullo
8. Tui
9. De Gois
10. Kaufusi
11. Taia
12. Pato
13. Costigan

14. Hilder
15. Tolar
16. Faas
17. Houston

If Doogs is out, Likiliki to debut.

I like the look of that team, look solid on paper, lets just hope we perform round 1! How good is it to have the footy back!?

What ever the halves combo is I think the one who didnt make it on the bench with Hilder plus 2 forwards!
Rodgers was rested for two of the trails this is normally a sign there held in higher regard??
Whatever the starting starting halves combo id like to see stone Give them at least a month together before changing it

Why would you want Henry on the bench if Rogers is selected? :fist: What a waste of space IMO..and this aint a trial game.

Everyone has pretty much the same team, barring a few minor exceptions. Maddog and Aku should definitely be on the same side however, and Jimmy Mac and Sau on the other. Logically, it should work out, they complement each other.

Seems like Henry and Mullen is the popular choice
Also no one thinks McDonnells trial form hasnt been enough to take Jimmys spot on the Wing?

I must admit every time McDonnell gets a dig on the wing he pays well, like really well.

WTF is wrong with Stone for him to think that Wes is a suitable replacement for doogs.. Cmon that is just pathetic, we have lulia, likiliki and kev who are more skillful & more accomplished out wide... I don't at all understand why Stone fancies Wes so much. He is a really crap footballer, is probably the only back in our team that will consistently kill off backline opportunities when he gets the ball

Has it been announced somewhere that Beau will start??? or is Rodgers out???

why are you all picking him over Rodgers??

Henry on the bench with Hilder + 2 forwards??

Its impossible to take u seriously with this Rodgers crap(what is education system comming too?)

Yeah haha, though Im not sure if he played on the wing much in the trials, he was fullback for a fair chunk and did well.

And yes dont really get why Wes is favoured by Stone, bench utility if needed at best, but Hilder fills the void. It only worked for Brian Smith because Smith wanted big guys like Sau and Wes and Vuna at the back but Smith is a different coach to Stone.

14. Beau Henry
15. Cory Paterson
16. Richard Fa'aoso
17. Chris Houston

This would be my pick.

Gidley would play Half-back in a "care-taker" role so that Henry can get used to the NRL. After the first few rounds, drop Mcdonnel and put Gidley at fullback and keep the Mullo/Henry combination.
