I have a heartbreaking Knights win

Blooming Round 26 2009. I was at the game and man did it hurt.

I'm not exactly sure what years they were in but all Finals matches aside, a great win was against St george one year when joey had streamers caught around his boots and kicked a goal after the siren from the sideline to win us the match
But a heartbreaking loss back when we had a big lead on the dogs, i think around 23-0 and the dogs came back after el masri kicked a goal from the sideline to win it.

I was there aswell, one of the best games I have ever been to. :dancing:

Did anyone else see that big bunch of fellas in the concourse fall into the field after the game? Hilarious!

What made that last win against Brisbane so awesome was the fact that we had no interchange left, and nobody gave us a chance!

98 v Illawarra at Marathon.

Was a saturday night & a Fitzgibbon conversion after FT siren to win it. Pretty rough.

One of my favourites was the infamous black out night & ruining Lockyers 300th

Since big dog is here I will mention that last year we were at a game and there was an american fella walking past and he said to his friend omg, is that their mascot or something? pointing at Big Dog

One of my favourite games aswell.

Sat up the Northern end in the North east corner for the first time in yonks that game, had a ball jumping around in the rain whilst my freind who supports Brissy got the ****s and went and got out of the rain and stood up in the AJ stand.

The screams by everyone when the power went out was deafning.

That was also a very memorable game for me. I remember sitting on the seats near the hill & getting poured on in the first half & then it was pretty cool coz when me & my brother looked up near the lights, the rain looked like diamonds falling. Also when Uate scored that length of the field try, i was so ****ed coz i was walking in the grand stands to get some food coz nothing was happening on the playing field. Then i heard the crowd go up & i missed the whole thing & was so disappointed haha. From that game i promised myself never to get food during the game haha. The lights then went out which was pretty scary & i was thinking about going home at halftime, it felt like something bad was going to happen. I remember after about half an hour of halftime, i was standing up under shelter in shorts & a shirt, pale as, freezing to death with no umbrella or anything but i stayed strong & waited for the 2nd halve. It was a very memorable game, especially with us winning it.

I missed him scoring that try too!

Folau scored the first try right in front of us, only about a metre or two away. It was amazing close up him jumping through the air.

Certainly the most memorable game of I've been to, the game itself was pretty p*ssweak though.

In at No. 3 great wins personally choose the 2001 big win over Canberra on a filthy day. Best performance by a player, Joey, have seen in over sixty years playing and watching the game!

That was the start of the road to the premiership.

Was that the infamous "Swapping of the shorts" game? if so I would have to agree that was one of the best games I have ever watched.

If we are going for best and worst finishes i think i can cover both in one game.

Last year vs sharks (wait or was it the eels? memory lapses) 6-4. Honestly one of the most **** poor performances iv'e seen outta 2 teams that weren't at the bottom of the NYC ladder in some time. 30 errors that game

Bad bad bad game but with a try near the death and a beautiful Kurt conversion from the sideline.

Worst loss i can remember was not a close one but a horrid 70 odd point thrashing by Brisbane in Newcastle a few yrs ago

I missed him scoring that try too!

I saw it!! I was in the front row of the concourse and Aku ran straight at me :dancing: Couldnt see more than halfway down the field because of the horrid rain and suddenly out from the distance Aku is coming and he's alone! woohoo

You're right, That was the eels & I'd have been ****ED to be an eels supporter that night, it was a really great win in the end but I remember during the game I was really annoyed because it was the most boring & frustrating game I'd seen and it was wet and cold and I was all pregnant and cranky haha then we won it was really fabulous. First time I've felt truly sorry for the other supporters who'd travelled!

Nah the one where they swapped shorts was the same year but in Canberra, that was a fantastic game too, probably better considering how often we win in Canberra.

my list would be
1.. 1997 GF

2..2001 GF

3..1999 St George vs Knights @ SFS StGeorge scored with about 3 minutes to go to take the lead by 2 . Newcastle do a short kick off and regain the ball , they send it out wide to Darren Albert to score in the right hand corner .

4..1997 semi final , Darren Alberts last minute tackle on Matt Sears . Albert ran from one corner to the other and tackled Sears over the corner post to get us in to the Grand Final .

5..1988 the first game the Knights played .
