What is this jersey?

Pretty sure we never wore that on the field, I've never seen it before.

And the lack of a sponsor doesn't make sense ... Stockland were our sponsor all throughout 1996.

No, I'm sure I've seen all the 7's jerseys before, and none of them looked anything like that.

The only thing I can think of is that perhaps we wore it in some other special pre-season game, that was deserving of it's own jersey?

Even then 1995 would be more likely, because we did not have a sponsor in the 1995 pre-season.
 
What about the world club challenge in 1998 ? . I don't think it is but I just can't remember what we wore

I have just checked wikipedia and according to that we have never had a jersey designed by peerless this jersey may be a fake

There was no World Club Challenge in 1998.

And Matthew Johns is wearing a Peerless jersey in the above photo! :lol: They made our gear from 1995-1996. I wouldn't trust Wikipedia on that sort of thing.
 
Knights have never worn that in a season game or World Sevens game. The ARL badge suggests to me that it was 1995, as 1996 had the Optus 'Yes' dark green badge around the ARL one. Plus, as JamesGould says, we didn't have a sponsor in the pre-season of 1995, yet Stockland was on board as sponsor from 1995-1997 inclusive.

I'm thinking that Peerless produced one-off jerseys of a few different designs to present to the Knights board, to which they were to choose the Sevens jersey for that year. That being the case, that was one of the losing designs, losing out to that awesome one Matty Johns is wearing in the pic posted above. I love that jersey, and have always wished I'd have bought it at the time. I was, however, 15 at the time and couldn't afford the $80 for a jersey. One day, maybe, they'll use it for a World Club Challenge or some other special occasion?!
 
Does anyone remember or know of the jersey referenced in this post? I can’t find a picture of it on the way back machine or anywhere else.
