Beau Ryan why are we talking about him, we have enough backs & he isnt a major talent forget anything about him, plus yeah he is already signed for Tigers. Love his Footy Show work though.

Knights ride to the rescue of Kaufusi

FORMER Kangaroos prop Antonio Kaufusi is close to negotiating an immediate release to join Newcastle.
Kaufusi has been languishing in the Queensland Cup for Mackay after falling out of favour at the Cowboys.
It has been a massive fall for the former Queensland, Australia and Tonga forward, who was welcomed with much fanfare in Townsville after being poached from the Melbourne Storm last year.

It sounds like he is very close to signing. I just hope we don't go offering him too much money and can get him for the right price.
 
Yeah as long as we dont rush in with a huge amount for him, its good we're getting him (hopefully) but shouldn't go overboard with buying him.
 
Yep massive waste of money from the Cowboys. They would have been far better off trying to keep Luke O'Donnell.

Tate is injured more often than he is on the field these days and even at his peak I didn't rate him that highly

He had some sensational games for Australia and Queensland, but never really played that well at club level.
 
It said in the townsville bulletin in the article where they signed tate that Kaufusi will sign a deal with the Newcastle Knights tomorrow
