Your team v Sharks

Yates blew his load in the first 15 minutes today. He was our hardest worker for the first 15, then started missing tackles and messing up.
I feel for him. I think he was trying to win man of the match today, and didn't have the fitness to pull it off.
 
I honestly think Bryce Donovan could do a better job than Elliot

We were in a big mess when Brown took over last year. We have a though road ahead of us but we are making good progress. We have improved from last year and we will be better next year.

Randell is a guy we might use to add some defence off the bench, but Brown isn't a fan it seems.

I think with Randell, it's more so a wasted bench spot while having Buhrer in the team. Allows us to carry an extra forward instead of utility off the bench.
 
I'm with Gaz. Our whole defensive line was non existent.

Hodko copping all the flack and at one stage the poor guy was on his own trying to defend 40 metres from the posts to Sione who was not tackling. Where Yates was is a mystery as Buhrer plays right side.

Next week back to Round 3 side with Wardle bench for Yates.
 
I think Wardle will take Stones spot.
I don't think Stockwell will lose his when kostjacyn comes back - I think the bench will end up - kostjacyn, stockwell, Wardle, Saifiti/Pauli and the 1-13 won't change much unless injuries hit..
But I don't know what happens this week..

Yates played lock mate,

Barnett went to left edge and stone rotated with yates at lock.

Barnett went off and wardle came on in the left edge position so that side was always gonna be hard to be a solid D platform with sione at centre barnett/wardle rotation and hodko... none have played together on one side like that before so the communication was stuffed from the kick off.

I hope not,

Stone was great last night there was others who didnt turn up to play at all.

The biggest issue we had last night was the frontrow.
D Saifiti had 3-4 guys jamming in on him every run, so was getting belted..... then Starling was MIA....
Dan went off... jake came on, then 4mins later Jake had to go offf for concussion test and Dan was back on with Stockwell!!
By this stage we were tackling and on the back foot hard... Dan was gassed but trying and Stockwell was imo belting anything that came near him which was good to see... yates went off Stone came on and imo got us going forward for that last 10mins into half time.... but on his own really as Barnett was off Buhrer was gassed after tackling his butt off Saifiti was gassed and so was Stockwell by this time.... Wardle did F all in that final 10 mins beside 2nd or 3rd man in tackles or watched play go past him out wide.

Second 40,

Started on the back foot although having the twins on the field together,
The side was lost with minimal ball and players in positions they dont play which made our D horrible...

Sione proved he isnt a centre although a hard night to show he still could be.
Wardle was new and didnt have any link with Sione or hodko..
Barnett same as above

Panthers side are big boys from 8 to 12 and the bench is huge too.
We had the twins monstered and our most experienced prop was hiding most of the game.... Starling for me is to be benched next week.

Either give the twins a go together or stocky and Dan.
 
Tupou didn't play reserve grade.
I'd say he is pencilled in for next week and they didn't want him injured.

I would like see Brown to preserve with Stone.

Waddle will get a chance when we have more injuries.

Brown this week called Wardle a 'definite first grader'. I'm not convinced yet but it appears we'll get plenty more looks at him.
I think Stones going to be awesome but it's not going to hurt going back to reserves for a bit either. Use him intermittently this yr.
I'd like to see stockwell start - if starling has another game like that I think we will but can't imagine he'll change the starting side much this week - asides from bring Elliot back in. His defence is questionable but he links up in attack quite well..
