Your team v Cowboys

1. Gidley (c)
2. Uate
3. Sau
4. Simon Williams
5. Vuna
6. Rogers/Mullen
7. Mullen/Ndaira
8. Cross
9. De Gois
10. Tolar
11. Ciraldo
12. Taia
13. Taufua

14. Hilder
15. Simpson
16. Tuimavave
17. Fa'aoso

Coach: Rip Taylor

Gidley to fullback because I'm not sure i can handle another week of McDonnell's drop balls and slipping over, we've also been missing his kick returns which really get us on the front foot in attack as well as how he directs the defence from the back which McDonnell is too timid to do in my eyes.

Uate is our best player atm.

Sau is on notice to start performing.

Williams to make his debut because of all the centres we have in the lower grades he is easily the form one, for those who haven't seen him play he is Junior Sau with Matt Gidley's hands.

Vuna is on notice as well.

Rogers in because we have no other options, Ndaira in if Rogers is out.

Mullen is ****ing lucky Dureau is injured or else I'd drop him.

Cross our form forward.

De Gois, enough said.

Tolar starting because we need Tui to come on when Cross comes off as our intensity drops an alarming amount when both of those players go off.

Ciraldo starting as he has been better than Simpson and Paterson

Taia starting because we need some spark in the team.

Taufua is our best wrestler in the team, always wins the ruck and I feel that's why we drop when he goes off as well because it allows them to get quick play the balls and dominate us.

Hilder to come on and replace Taufua in defence.

Simpson on the bench because he really hasn't performed recently and Gidley is back now so he's not the captain anymore.

Tui coming off the bench for reasons stated earlier.

Fa'aosos, if he doesn't perform this game drop him for Tovo or Edwards.

Rip Taylor can get a team playing with passion, pride and for each other.

Out:
Naiqama: lol
Paterson: Needs a couple of games for the Centurions to get his confidence back.
Rick Stone: GTF away from my team, has obviously tried to make all our forwards playmakers with alarming results such as none of them running it straight to the line anymore and usually ending up with one of them getting smashed due to a ****ty pass close to the line.

there r so many things wrong with this post
1) Sau is playing well i dunno what games you have been watching
2)Cross our form forward WTF he falls over before the line every hit up and can not tackle he should be dropped
3) mullen should not even be considered to be dropped he brings experience to the team and adds spark
4) Vuna needs to be dropped
5)Taufua is our form forward and Pato is not too far behind he only needs to hold the ball a bit more

Cross has been running hard, so it's trying to encourage the others. I have no issues about Cross except maybe making us think he is gonna get injured every hit up. Mullen - spark? Wth are you talking about? What spark? He's been like a robot doing the same thing over and over again without any creativity.

I'll go through my reasoning for my team:

1. Kurt Gidley - we need him for the leadership and for what he brings to the team.
2. Aku Uate - in form back.
3. Junior Sau - starting to show some of his form from last year.
4. Pete Mata'utia - Wes isn't doing much. I wouldn't mind giving Lulia a chance at his natural position and see how he goes. I wouldn't be against Pete coming up and playing either.
5. Cooper Vuna - needs to stop running sideways too much, but is hitting it up nicely otherwise. Also wouldn't be against Kev Naiqama playing either, but probably not if Pete is playing.
6. Jarrod Mullen - can't really drop him at this stage. Really really needs to work on his attacking kicks and plays. More creativity and play the game on instinct.
7. Scott Dureau - I think he's done what we needed of him. If fit, he should play.
8. Ben Cross - tries hard on his run. Definitely wouldn't drop him. Might consider swapping Tui and him around. Tui to start, Cross to come on and make some impact after 20 minutes when we've been lacking go forward most of the games.
9. Isaac De Gois - been as consistent as always. Would like to see him run it a bit more.
10. Mark Taufua - I like the way he takes a hit up. You know what you will be getting from him.
11. Steve Simpson - been playing well. Nothing to suggest to drop him to the bench.
12. Cory Paterson - needs some consistency, but liking what I've seen from him. Maybe a bit more ball would be good.
13. Matt Hilder - played his best there last year. Don't see why we should change what we had last year when we were doing well.

14. Con Mika/Sione Tovo - willing to give these two a chance. Tolar and Fa'aoso hasn't been that good this year. If I was only to drop one, it'll be Tolar first.
15. Zeb Taia - bring him on late in the half on Simpson's side. When most of the players are tired, his run could be very damaging. Paterson and Taia at their best would be bloody awesome.
16. Evarn Tuimavave - nothing to fault him. Always trying hard.
17. Ben Rogers - will bring some spark to the team when we are down. Most probably bring him on as lock for a bit.

1. Gidley ( c ) so happy to be able to say this
2. Uate
3. Junior Sau
4. Pete Mata'utia ( cmon stone give the kid a go. better than wes )
5. Mcdonnell
6. Rogers ( thank god he is back need a change )
7. Mullen
8. Cross
9. De Gois
10. Fa aoso
11. Simpson
12. Taia

14. Ndaira
15. Tuimavave
16. Patterson ( needs a good kick up the *** for last weeks performance )
17. Taufua

i am not saying he has added much spark this year but we all know wat hes capable of and i like the way cross plays but hes a really lazy defender at marker and in the defensive line. He just falls in tackles and when he runs the ball up STAND UP TO YOUR FULL HEIGHT YOUR A MASSIVE FORWARD TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT he always falls down before the defensive line if he fixes that up he could be the best prop in the comp.

Gidley will help take pressure off mullen, IMO we need mullen to step up. If he is stuck for options well have seccond phase play with gidley running back a length with decoys, and when gids gets the ball cut it out to uate, like the dragons do so well, except with boyd giving it to morris. Mullen is playing to one out and is becoming very easy to pick up on. Lets hope joey will give him a few sessions this week and help him out a bit. I would like to see rogers back in the 6 jersey simply the fact that he is a good runner and has a good passing game, just dont let him kick on the 5th play because the ball will end up in the 10th row in the crowd.

Mullen needs more options IMO. The whole team looks lost.

I think he needs to play simple, get to the kick and kick it. Once we're on the front foot then he can start running it on the last but until then let's play territory and rely on our defence. We showed it last night when we trapped them up there until Vuna gave away that penalty.

Someone mentioned it before about our next 4 games being easy.

Cowboys - yesyes i agree that will, Bowen & Thurston out, Gidley & Rogers back & us at home should be hopefully easy.
Sharks - They're not in form, but it is at Shark Park and if we dont show up to play like Eels last week then we can be beaten.
Brisbane - At their home ground, Folau, Kemp & Parker set to return for that match. That one worries me a bit.
Titans - Us at home, but they have some good players & showed they can play without Prince against Melbourne.

Not meaning to try sound like a know it all, but yeah :Knights:

Thurston, Bowen and Payne. That's the guts of their team, if Stone can't get us up for this one with Kurt being back then I think we'll have a valid reason to be on Stone's case.
We should put the Cowboys to sleep easily in this on.

1. Kurt Gidley (c)
2. Aku Uate
3. Junior Sau
4. Wes Naiqama
5. Kevin Naiqama
6. Matt Hilder

11. Steve Simpson
12. Cory Paterson
13. Mark Taufua

14. Dan Tolar
15. Zeb Taia
16. Cameron Ciraldo - only cause we have no better forwards, he was shocking v Souths
17. George Ndaira

1. Kurt Gidley (C)
2. Aku Uate
3. Junior Sau
4. Pete Mata'utia
5. Cooper Vuna
6. Matt Hilder/Ben Rogers(if fit)
7. Jarrod Mullen

We really should beat North QLD since they will most likely be without Thurston or O'Donnell. I really hope Gidley will be fit, the whole team is depending on it IMO.

So stoked Dodge is back I know I'm in the minority here but I think he's a much better player then Dureau

Rogers is a play maker, even if some of his options are a bit how ya goin, at least hes happy to have a go. His long range kicks and direction are often quite good wich is (one) thing this team needs.

I actually think his kicking isn't too bad at all. Remember that game last year when Mullen got injured first half? Rogers had to do all the kicking and was pretty awesome. I don't mind Rogers at 5/8th, but I'm not sure Mullen is up for the halfback role.

i think halfback is mullen's position. He spent all of last season there and a fair bit of 08 their and to compensate playing there i think he changed his game and you don't want him switching his game back and fourth. It would do him more damage then origin did, also i think he believes the best half plays halfback judging that solely on how he's played there.

If we dont beat the Cowboys you will be without Thurton, Payne, Bowen and maybe O'Donnell then we deserve the wooden spoon.

And on top of that we get back Gidley and Taia and also Rogers is 50/50 to come back. For me if Rogers is fit to play then he has to be the 5/8 even if Dureau is fit which is very unlikey i would think he will be out for 3-4 weeks.

My team is

1. Kurt Gidley - He should make the world of difference
2. Akulia Uate - By far our best player at the moment
3. Junior Sau - Has played failry good but not to his best
4. Peter Matuatu - Give him a shot cant be worse then Naiqama
5. Cooper Vuna - Stop running sideways, is powerfull when running straight
6. Ben Rogers - Thank gos he is back hopefully anyway
7. Mullen - Step the **** up
8. Ben Cross - Has been playing really well
9. Isaac De Gois - One of our best players, getting back to his 09 form
10. Evarn Tuimave - Been great player
11. Steve Simpson - Not playing his best but we need him
12. Cory Paterson - Had his worst game of the year last game
13. Mark Taufau - Been our best foward so far

14. Matt Hilder - Need him to cover injurys
15. Cameron Ciraldo - Getting better every game
16. Sione Tovo - We need his go forward, way better then Tolar
17. Con Mika - Deserves another shot, better then Fa'aoso at the moment

Well theres my team and that should be the team for the Cowboys game and if we dont win then all I can say is we are ****ed.
