How did that work out?
Not too well to be honest
Almost as good as Fitlers one marker idea
Nothing quite as effective as giving the attacking side a false sense of opportunity by leaving a gaping hole in the centre of the ruck.
The only less effective defensive strategy I can think of was North Sydney shifting Jason Taylor to the wing in defense.
Geez he was a speed bump
Thought that was Anderson's idea at first?
The captain is just a ‘c’ next to someone’s name. Granted, it’s normally earned by doing the right things, but it’s not going to make someone talk or lead. Anyone can do that. Buhrer could be captain for example, and when down by 4 with 5 minutes left, it could be Pearce who steps up and does all the talking.
Theoretically but, you do need to have a captain on the field at all times. That’s who the referee will address.
I guess that's what the leadership group is about
Who are we expecting to be running water this season? The amount of time trainers spend on the paddock these days we could probably name one of them
Article in herald from Barry Toohey about Barnett, Brown says he will 100% be in the Round 1 side.
You would think he would be underdone, fitness, timing, plays etc, will wait and see, hope if any doubt he doesn't play.
Not sure mate. Some reason I just remember Fitler trying it for a few rounds.
He will be underdone. But he is the cornerstone of our pack and arguably our best forward. By round 3-4 he should be absolutely firing
Same article says if trial was an important NRL game Barnett would be playing, just avoiding risk in this case.
Barnett was always going to be in the round 1 side. Purely precautionary.
What about playing reggies ?
You have to wonder what the point of having depth is if you aren't going to use it.
Have to wonder why Cronk, Slater or Smith haven't played reggies in 10 years
Have to wonder if u were dropped on ur head at birth
Its ok if you've missed the point.
Generally when a player is of a particular value to his team, his coach may opt to avoid having him play reggies. If he is fit enough to play rugby league, he is fit to play Rugby league
Either that or, im at a loss to explain why literally no rep standard players ever play reggies, despite the quality of depth in their squad
With that spelling I’m confident you were.
Separate names with a comma.
