Your team for 2018

I don't know who will start I'm not even sure Brown does yet but i think King would be ok starting he is aggressive and his Defence was hurting opposition players last season ...He probably wont start but imo he could handle it ....I think he will be in the side though if not at the start of the season not long after . You want that really aggressive forward there that wants to hurt people in the tackle ....

I think King and Jake Saifiti are neck and neck for the final bench spot, and in the unlikely event that every forward is fit for round 1, I think Fitz will miss out. No point having Fitz on the bench when we have 80 minute second rowers and Griffin doing a spell in the second row as well.

Think Esee at 13 is a fill in to save later changes, Barnet back for rd1, Esee to bench, JSaf to reserves barring injury. Only other change for Rd1 that I see is Buhrer and Fitz swap.

I would tend to agree. Ese’ese likely holding down lock until Barnett returns. Think Jacob and Heighington are vying for that last bench spot. Hoping Jacob wins out. Would be surprised if Fitzgibbon continues to start over Buhrer too, who’s pegged to be the captain.

Overall strong looking team. Ese’ese gives us more size and go forward from #13, as does Fitzgibbon on the fringe over Buhrer with him adding more versatility off the bench. Always good to experiment with different things before the season starts.

Could be that Brown intends on appointing a second captain once the season starts. Just wants to look at the field

I think he'll go with co-captains again, so that would leave room for Buhrer to go to the bench.

I like ese at lock three big big units on the Feild at the start

And if Brown wants one captain on the field at all times, it could mean that the next captain is someone who doesnt play 80 mins??

.?? Not sure I know what you mean, club captain doesn't even need to play, captain for the day can change week to week with the nominated club captain doing all the work off field.
No matter who is named captain or co-captain could be out injured or dropped so changes need to be made.

I agree. I was just thinking out loud

Theoretically the captain doesn't even need to be in the starting 13, remember Gidley coming off the bench in origin?
