I see Australia have run out winners in the final over NZ 22-12! Their first World Cup win.
That's a great effort to finally knock NZ off the perch. I watched the last World Cup final, it was curtain raiser to one of the men's semis at the last men's World Cup, and NZ were a long way ahead. They basically were huge and five or six Australians had to be assisted from the field after big collisions.
I'd heard Australia had put a huge amount of work in since then, and it's obviously paid off. Well done Australia!!!
