From what I can tell, it appears to be a sell out already…meaning we will be breaking the Qld crowd numbers for the largest ever NRLW SoO crowd and also the largest ever NRLW crowd attendance for any match👍🏻…. Hopefully another thing we can steal off Qld🤣👍🏻
 
Hey @Billy do you have any details re gate opening and preliminary game start times for this game? I've tried to fossick around to get some information but I can't find anything 🤔 - I know there is at least 1 lead up game because I have a friend's father who told me their daughter will be playing before the main event👍

Yeah, Brown at centre does seems strange, even though I acknowledge that she is a very good all round athlete. She did debut in SoO back in 2020 as a centre and her sevens union career was as technically as an outside back but to list her there in 2024 based on her role at the Titans?!

I also think putting Brigginshaw back to half is good for the Blues...she is not the player she was and as I said in the Game 1 thread, she can be exposed defensively as the game wears on and she fatigues.

Really looking forward to this game and hopefully with a very heavily weighted NSW Blues supporter based crowd in attendance, cheering this squad on to a really dominant victory next week!
 
Herald this morning has a 6 page wraparound SOO feature.
The front 3 pages are about the women's game in Newcastle, so the front page is a full page photo of Higgins, Clydesdale and Johnston in action for the blues.
The back 3 pages are about the men's game.
 
For those (like me :cool: ) who are lucky enough to be heading to the game live tonight, I just wanted to put on the radar that there is an earlier game kicking off at 5.45pm of the up and coming junior reps being developed in the region.

It should be a good watch but also a great opportunity to see how well the development systems are setting up the Knights grass roots recruitment for a sustainable long term future as a very successful NRLW team in this region for years to come:newcastle:
 
Bit of rain about. Won’t be a dryer track, so will need to slug it out a bit more than last origin.
 
It’s funny. The Newcastle Knight in me still sees the roosters girls in our club training and I’m like “don’t taint our incredible aura ya failures”!! 😂😂😂
