Well that's a storm in a teacup, certainly as far as Boyd's involvement goes.

Teo is gonna vigorously defend himself, so I doubt we've heard the whole story yet.

What a meh revelation!

Te'o had a lot of issues in Brisbane didn't he? It's not like they left her there, it says Norman called 000...

Sounds like Boyd was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I know te'o has been accused of assault before...

Then there was the assault at his home which was related to the above article....

And agreed I think Boyd and Norman may of been just in the wrong place at the wrong time.....

Boyd has done nothing wrong going by the allegations ... he won't face any discipline for this.

There's not even two sides to the story in Boyd's case, he just hasn't been accused of doing anything wrong.

Ben Te'o's statement:

I wish to make the following statement in relation to rumours circulating about an incident which occurred approximately one month ago in Brisbane.

I am making this statement on the understanding that a television network intends to broadcast a story this evening which does not give a true account of the incident.

I have not provided a statement to this network in response to the story.

I understand that the news story contains a claim by a female that I was involved in an altercation with her at a house in Brisbane.

I have not been informed of the exact nature of the news story, however I am able to refute entirely any suggestion that I acted improperly.

On the night in question, I found myself in unfortunate circumstances that were not caused by me and I acted appropriately to deal with a difficult situation.

I called the police to report the incident and have the female removed from the house.

I have not pressed charges against the female and to the best of my knowledge no charges have been laid against me.

I don’t wish to go into any further detail about this matter because I regard the incident as unfortunate and something I wish to leave behind me.

I have offered my co-operation to the Police, the NRL integrity unit, my Club and other authorities to ensure that this matter is dealt with in the appropriate way.

To this point I have not had any contact from the Police since their attendance at the house, and neither my management nor my Club have had any contact from the Police or the female at the centre of this news story.

Accordingly I have no further comment to make at this stage.

South Sydney's statement:

The South Sydney Rabbitohs have been made aware of an alleged incident involving player Ben Te’o in Brisbane last month.

The Rabbitohs are currently investigating the incident and are working closely with the NRL Integrity Unit on conducting a full and thorough investigation.

Rabbitohs CEO Shane Richardson said: “Ben informed us that an incident occurred last month in Brisbane, and he has been very up front and open with us in our discussions with him in recent weeks.

“We are going through due process and we are currently undertaking a thorough investigation into what happened that night in conjunction with the NRL Integrity Unit.

“Ben has indicated to us that he vehemently denies the allegations that are being levelled at him, and he is happy to co-operate with Police, the NRL, the Club, and other authorities to clear up this situation.

“I would like to point out that to this point in time neither Ben nor any member of the South Sydney Football Club has been contacted by the Police, the person making the allegations, a representative of the person making the allegations, nor any member of the public regarding the alleged incident.

“We take situations like this very seriously, and our Club has an excellent track record in such matters.”

Guess we will have to wait and see what the woman who made these allegations says tonight.....

I would feel ashamed even discussing this. Another mole, another way to deceptively get ratings for TV, actually surprised a current affair isn't airing it. Lol

Looks like a ratings grab, smells like a ratings grab ... I've lost interest already. The police haven't laid charges a month after it happened ... probably says it all.

It's really disappointing, like I said, discussing it would be embarrassing as far as I'm concerned. No one has nothing to worry about.

A police spokesman confirmed officers had attended an incident on that night but that all allegations had been formally withdrawn by the complainant who requested no further police action.

"This matter is no longer under investigation," the police spokesman told AAP on Wednesday.

The fact that Ben Te'o was the one who called the police to have this woman removed from the house speaks volumes imo....
