How many 13's do we need though. Who does he push out of that role?Everyone is talking Gamble at 5/8, but has anyone considered that he would make an ideal 13?

Cogger has been training all offseason at 7, and now we are shopping him around elsewhere? lolHave we been given any confirmation that we’ve trained all off season with Cogger at 7? A lot of the leaks from training were that Gamble was at 7. Cogger would have definitely trained at 7, but doesn’t sound like he was the only one at all.

I can see Cogger/Gamble with Phoenix coming off the bench. Either Cogger starts or he isn't in the 17. Brailey is 9 irrespective of any rumours about him that haven't come to fruition but if there aren't any takers (which seems to be the case) he's there for this season.
Yet all our pre season previews go on about KPP and Frizz but seen to totally miss that lucas existsChanging the subject, I thought the Best and Fairest should have gone to a player in the Indigenous side!!
Dylan Lucas played out of his skin in both attack and defence and anyone who missed his performance must have had sunnies on.
Boy , am I glad he's a Knight!!
It was Owey.Forgive me because I can’t remember who it was that went to training the other day and reported back, but he said the final part was Gamble and Sharpe training at 7. Gamble wore the 6 last year but the 4 or so games he and Crossland were together, he was on the right hand side and was marshalling the side around the park.
I mean, I'm not gonna argue with this comment.@jamesgould and I look like geniuses for saying we thought we should’ve asked Volkman for his services when the other poll went up
I mean his words indicate this but his coaching methodologies and actual output from his players would suggest he couldnt give a rats about defence. We are hopeless, and that was my big take out of the trial we did not improve that. We’ve seen in the past that AOB puts a massive premium on defence so I reckon it will be Gamble with Sharpe on the halves.
Have you ever thought about a career in motivational speaking?I mean his words indicate this but his coaching methodologies and actual output from his players would suggest he couldnt give a rats about defence. We are hopeless, and that was my big take out of the trial we did not improve that.
Well i think that's what you're looking for with your back up players, to be able to come in and fill the holes in defence and not look too disjointed in attack. Having 44 put on us in a hit and giggle game against last years spoonbowl winners is not desirable.Have you ever thought about a career in motivational speaking?![]()
We are not, we were dead last for attack last year and finished in the 8, it stands to reason that our defence must of been ok. Yes, there's certainly some areas we can improve on, ruck and marker defence being a big one.I mean his words indicate this but his coaching methodologies and actual output from his players would suggest he couldnt give a rats about defence. Agree we pin them down and burn 2 tackles. When we dont control this we lose the ruck. The reason for the conservative kicking game is purely defensive. To play with a set line and prevent long kick returns.
Yeah i get that, but you need to get more height in it to give a chance for the chasers to get there, some times we would go with the same chip kick and and the guy running the ball back would have 20 meters of steam before hitting the line. The reason for the conservative kicking game is purely defensive.
