Are they expecting a big crowd today? I get the feeling the juice is running out of this experiment and it’ll be done once the contract ends (two more years?). Just seems to be existing fans travelling to the game at this stage.

There doesn't seem to be any interest from locals, it's all just travelling fans so IMO it's far from the success Vlandys is trying to make it sound.
 
You have to look at the subscriptions that they are getting and the TV coverage not just the people attending the game
 
HKR loosing this bad I honestly didnt see coming, guess they were up for a long time and it had to give at some point

Definitely the football (sokkah) influence.

Wouldn’t mind seeing something more creative than “NEW-CAS-TLE”. It’s an absolute classic, though.

I don’t think the Australian Rugby League community would take very well to “singing” during games. But, as you can see with English games, it’s certainly adding to the atmosphere
 
well, what a ****in fizzer...again...they'll have to stop inviting the Pommy teams, their games are awful.
geez commentators really push it uphill don't they? trying to convince us all we're watching some great contest.
oh, and in case anyone forgot, they're in Vegas...gotta keep mentioning that every couple of minutes!

I actually enjoyed watching it, yes I would prefer if it was closer and it probably should have been but maybe that was very unexpected
 
After admittedly being a bit of a laughing stock around the NRL as an organisation, it was such a relief to be leaving Vegas with the best game out of the three on show and taking the win.

The ESL game was embarrassing, the Dragons/Dogs game was dead boring for the most part until extra time and even then wasn't overly exciting. Our game was a tight tussle and a much better showpiece for the sport.

So glad for the fanbase that went over, and all those that bought Vegas gear that we can wear it with pride.
