Vaughn?

I think he would be a good buy but if he is as bad as most are saying then lets dodge that bullet and move on .
 
Lodge stuffed up big time but he has done a lot too make himself a better person . I would have taken him .
 
Lodge & Vaughan are different cases. As far as I’m aware Lodge has taken his second chance with both hands. I just really hate the thing he did, and I’m glad he’s not at our club.

Vaughan is different. He’s had chance after chance after chance. He is 30 years old so if he hasn’t learned by now he never will, and unlike someone like Finucane (who is younger than him) is very unprofessional with his training and lifestyle, so when he declines as a player it won’t be gradual, he’ll fall off a cliff. I’ve heard whispers of stuff he’s done beyond the stuff we already know about and, trust me, he’s the last guy you want at your club, influencing the young guys. You literally might as well sign The Joker. The bad guy from Batman.

There been far far worse people let back into the game. I think now him being low on form, and age will probs be an decent buy. No-nonsense front row forward. Got an sneaky offload in him aswell.

Not saying we need him as we seem good in the front row..but a cheap deal would help depth thats for sure.

I don’t think it’s this isolated incident throwing people off. As you said, others have behaved far worse. For me, he has a history of stupid stuff and it’s almost a certainty he’ll do something similarly stupid if he played for us. As an older guy in the team, you want those players to be setting a good example.
 
Honestly a club like Doggies or tigers get him/need him more. Even Storm get the best of him. But seems like an last chance for him.
 
He's a Catalans sort of guy.
They find footballers who are dumb as dog**** charming and interesting.
In fact, they actively look for a certain caveman vibe from their players.
