Top Knights Players For A Particular Trait

I thought this one might be a good one for Knights fans, any trait selection (pace, defence, halves skill, aggressiveness/enforcer, leadership, top clubman etc)

I was thinking about the Knights most exciting/powerful type backs over the years:

Akuila Uate: I personally have him just, only just ahead of Timana on the right wing in my all time Knights team, was probably the top on that trait list.

Milton Thaiday: I think was here 05,06,07, not long enough, was an excitement machine and could have been anything in the game in my opinion.

Joey Leilua: Maybe not super popular on here, 13,14 & half of 15 season I think, did some great things in a Knights jersey, could carry multiple blokes over the line for a four pointer also.

Adam Macdougall: Particularly the younger version, was a powerhouse of a player.

So many that can be done,

I have to put in top try saving tackles:

Darren Albert: 1997 Prelim (one of the best, if not the best I’ve ever seen) would be the top probably for speed/pace as well
Steve Simpson: 2001 Grand Final

James McManus - under a high ball and wing defence.
Uate - speed off the mark
Matt Gidley - draw and pass
Dane Gagai - tackle break
Joel Edwards - shoulder to midriff tackle
Kurt Gidley - kick chase
Kurt Gidley - one on one defence
Kurt Gidley - cover defence
jarrod Mullen - cut out pass
Ponga - side step
Johns - kicking game
Johns - small man on big man defence
Marzhew - kick return metres
Robbie O - defence at fullback
Tahu - side step
Matt Parsons - side ways dive in defence - like a soccer goalie

Everything essentially - Joey
Ruck recognition - Buderus
Excitement - Robbie O
Speed - Uate
Magic - Craigie
Leadership - Chief
Effort - K Gidley

Won’t count out the girls either
Consistency- Clydesdale
Defence - Higgins
Power - Predebon
Traitor- Southwell

Joel Edwards for cutting Jaryd Hayne in half lol.

The single best rule change in decades
One is desperately love changed and I think it would benefit the game… get rid of the 7 set restart but only from kicks inside the 20m, and from when a player loses possession attempting to score a try. Would get teams attacking with kicks more. I get the long range kicks and the reasoning but that would be good. This imo would help stop negative football to avoid the consequences

May promote more bomb/chip kicks directly into the in goal as opposed to a metre or two prior, if an attacking player comes up with it, a very good chance of scoring, good for the wingers whom can attack a high ball.

Yep but you risk a 7 set from the opposition catching it still. A win win I think.

Not if that rule was changed from inside 20 metre zone Bah, you would give away the 20 metres but just a 6 tackle set.

If a Knights set was handled or it went a bit pear shaped, you could say to Dominic Young as an example, there is going to be kicks coming to you all day in the in-goal, use your height/athleticism to jump over a bloke and score a try.

I have said this for a long time. The rule was only implemented to stop people doing long dead kicks to avoid fullbacks getting kick returns.
