Top 3 Best Non-Current Knights Players

This thread title gives me a headache.

Based on what everyone is doing shouldn't it just be best ever Knights players?

None of the current mob fly a flag compared to Joey, Bedsy, Chief, Robbie O, Kennedy, Gids(both) or Tahu for mine. - I started following seriously back in 1995

For me it's

Johns
Buderus
K. Gidley

I know Kurt wasn't as sparkling and didn't have as decorated a career as some. But he was responsible for a lot of the good in the post-Joey period from 2008 onwards. He basically carried the team on his shoulders a lot of the time, and I think without him in our team we would've had a lot more spoons than we currently have as a club.

In many ways he was the last man standing from the golden age, and the last player who embodied all those qualities and spirit.

They are my three top as well, wasn't sure if anyone else would agree with Kurt but glad a few others have as well. General feeling has been downhill a lot since he last played.

Kurt is a great shout, taking out the obvious 1 & 2 the consensus has been a mixture of Harragon, Kennedy, O’Davis & K.Gidley. Was curious, probably would have better doing a three but minus Joey/Bedsy, who probably lock out the top 2.

Without Joey and Bedsy I can only really speak of who I've seen play for the club. I'm younger than some on here and didn't see many of the golden generation play.

My top 2 in terms of who I've seen play would be Gids and Gagai, but I know Gags hasn't had the influence some others have had on the club.

I really feel sorry for the Knights faithful that came along after the 90's.

These days the media craps on about enforcers and such and enforcers today would have been crushed and sent packing crying to the mommies back when Chief roamed the field.

A true warrior.

These polls are tough as you can only really comment based on what you have seen yourself.

There isn't a wrong answer, just your top 3.
