Goal kicking is so important, turn 4 into 6, have been very disappointed with our current efforts/results, need to have 2-3 regular kickers hitting the sweet spot, need Ponga to get right and ready for 2027 as with a fully fit side Smith will be on bench. Don’t seem to have a very good goal kicker coming through from Cup or Flegg might have to look outside.
Need to turn those many 4 pointers, Marzhew and Young out wide, to potential 6 pointers

Latrells kicked 37/60 this year or 61%, both our kickers are above 70%. Maybe both sides will be going up in 4s on friday.

Sandon’s kicking stats this season….looks like the only game poor kicking costs us the victory was against the Roosters when he kicked 3/5 and Walker kicked 3/4 but DCE knocked over a field goal.

Cost us the Sharks game, no question.

Its hard to measure the impact on games but theres a psychological affect to it, too. Its a huge thing

Womens reserve grade coach Ben Hagan must be a decent kicking coach - both Deisal and Addie Hagan are outstanding goal kickers and now Sybella Pike has stepped up to be a great goal kicker since joining reserve grade.

I reckon Sandon Smith becomes an elite goal kicker when he changes his tee. He is using the tee that Pat Richard’s used for kick offs that you are supposed to stand the ball up right on. No other good kicker in the NRL uses a tee as high as his. I’m sure that’s why he hits so many so poorly.
