If you don’t have alzheimers like me, I’d be willing to have a scratchy bet on that (a carton is a bit much to mail). We might have to wait a while, but I’m backing Flanno to do something before AOB.Disagree. Their best players are aging/don’t want to be there. They’ve overachieved this year but I can’t see any long term success in their squad.
Flanno is the better coach for mine, but that St George roster is a hot mess. I don't think any coach could turn it into a decent team without some mass changes and good recruitment. If you don’t have alzheimers like me, I’d be willing to have a scratchy bet on that (a carton is a bit much to mail). You mean like Stuart picking an old Rapana who is probably a better winger, over a young gun Chevy Stewart?AOB thinks Cogger is the more complete player, which is true. The part AOB seems not to understand is that Cogger is very shlt.
There's no point being a more complete player if you're making basic errors off the ball and offering absolutely nothing with the ball. It's such an AOB approach to take to value a player like Cogger more than a young freakish talent like Pryce. If Ricky Stuart were the coach Pryce probably would've been selected ahead of Cogger from the outset of the season, simply because the potential for upside is so high, why would any coach not explore that? Much less persist with a 4 out of 10 lacklustre half like Cogger.
I don’t know why he perseveres with Rapana. He’s so rocks and diamonds and a fair dink’m hot headed ******. He has an awesome game, granted it’s often from getting so badly under the skin of the opposition, but then has 5 games worth of absolute brain fades. I reckon he’s got something on Ricky because Ricky doesn’t strike me as the kind of guy that’s happy to suffer fools religiously… but there he is surrounded by clowns so who knows? You mean like Stuart an old Rapana who is probably a better winger, over a young gun Chevy Stewart?
And I think he’s capable of sorting it out. I don’t think he will win the comp next year, but I think he will start being more and more competitive the more he puts his brand on the team.Flanno is the better coach for mine, but that St George roster is a hot mess. yeah and not to mention they don't exactly have good wingers anyway, and he has been a decent career winger.I don’t know why he perseveres with Rapana. Interesting1. Armstrong
2. Sharpe (if you think he can do it)
6. Ponga
7. Hastings
Think about it!!!!
Armstrong is a winger
Interstingly enough I have made some enquiries re Armstrong's beginnings. It is reported he was #7 from about 6s to 16s. I believe it because i haven't seen anything but a great pass from him, specially off the ground at dummy half. In my opinion, sorry Billy, KP should move to the halves with the likes of Sharpe and Armstrong lining up behind. My preference being Armstrong because he always seems to be there ready for an offload. Sharpe does deserve to be in my team tho. I think there is a good combination to be proven.Toohey raised the question of whether Sharpe could play 5/8 a few weeks ago - pointing out he was a halfback in Matts. Since then Sharpe has said he played all his juniors before joining the Knights as a half.
I can't remember ever seeing him kick except for taking kickoffs, but he must be able to.
Ponga has proved it's fullback or nothing for him.
If we are keeping Sharpe, Armstrong and Votano, we need to find positions they can play.
KP is trash in the halves. I wish that wasn’t true but 8-10games of that experiment confirms it. He is best when the guys in front are creating spaces and opportunities for him to chime in on when he wants to.Interstingly enough I have made some enquiries re Armstrong's beginnings.
