Sounds like the younger guys will start pre season with a Melbourne style boot camp - the older guys will start pre season a few weeks later.
Mark O'Meley will coach NSW cup - Paul Stringer will be his assistant.
Tony Gleeson with Ben Farrar as assistant will coach Flegg
Adam Betteridge will coach Ball
Tim Ryan will coach Mathews - he is the brother of Andrew Ryan and coached Dubbo CYMS to a lot of success over the last few years, including coaching Matt Burton and that Searle kid who was good for us a few years ago.

Last I heard he was going to play for Macquarie in 2021, but I don't think he did.

It makes you wonder what Garth Brennan's actual role will be.
I thought he'd probably coach reserve grade and have a bit of oversight of other grades, but it looks like he won't have a team and will have a lot of time to spend on player development across the grades.
I imagine he'll have his own offices and facilities in the new centre- separate from the firstgrade section.
It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

It's an incredibly small sample size of 2 players - but Tim Ryan developed Searle and Burton and both those guys are really hardworking and confident players.
The thing that struck me about Searle when I first saw him in under 20s was that he was getting stuck into the defensive work to the point that you'd wish he wouldn't push our props out of the way so he could get into their props so much and he always wanted to take the ball to the line in attack and run the plays.
Burton is the same, only better - always wants the ball - always keen to make a tackle - always confident in his own ability.
If Ryan can turn out even 2 or 3 guys with that sort of confidence and that sort of work ethic he'll be a pretty good pick up as a coach.

My prediction for Tooheys news tomorrow.
1)Knights sign Luki but Cowboys will only release him early if they can get Mann before Christmas.
(Obi refuses to release Mann).
2)Cowboys sign Foran and Knights can sign Drinks if Manly release Foran.
3) Ponga commits to the end of 2025 without any player options.

1) Kurt Mann has been asked by Adsy to mentor new recruit Dane Gagai in the art of centre play
2) Andrew Johns quits role and becomes a desert hermit after trying to get Kurt Mann to throw a pass while still moving forward with his supports behind him
3) Adsy agrees with Ponga that fullback is his position and he will be the next cab off the rank there if Kurt Mann is injured

- Confirms Ponga can leave after next year and is able to speak to clubs now.

If Kurt is playing first reciever it might free up the pong to cause more trouble and actually get Mann only doing one thing. Creating that extra "Mann" then passing. Seems simple yeah? Bet he still dies with the ball 9/10.
