*We have 2.2mil left to spend on 6 players.
*Knights know for a fact that there is atleast one team that has to move players on to be cap compliment before next season
* 4 or 5 clubs under salary cap pressure.
*Levi has been linked with a move to Parra or Penrith (rumor).
*Sam Ayoub angry at us again because we are taking our sweet time with Segyaro and haven't made an offer yet.
 
4 or 5 clubs under cap pressure , us with 2.2 mill to spend woo hoo loving where were at right now . The club and team are looking so much better than they have for a long time I know were not moving ahead fast enough for some but I like this slow get the right guys approach .
The club not signing JJ , Ross , Dennis , Sio , Yates just shows that the rebuild is still happening (big time ).
I think we should sign Segeyaro and let Levi go , not because Segeyaro is better or anything like that just because Levi is not happy here and imo he still has 1 rung on the ladder to climb before he is a really good 80 min 1st grade hooker . To get there though you have to be happy and he isn't he may get there at another club .
I would like to keep him but an unhappy player at your club can bring the whole team down . Although a guarantee of starting hooker next season (yours to lose type thing) could change all that .

I'm happy for the slowly slowly approach also, as long as we do actually get the players we need. And not be forced to settle for retirement plan players as our targets all said no.

Levi won't be told he has the hooker role. Brown has shown since he arrived that he does not like Levi for whatever reason, and has recruited to replace him the whole time. I agree at this point, he is better at another club.

I don’t think Brown doesn’t like him. Otherwise we wouldn’t have signed him for an extra 3 years and rejected his subsequent request for a release.

The problem is that Levi seems to expect the starting role without being solid enough to fill it yet. He also has plenty of rocks-and-diamonds moments. He’ll be very, very good as he gets more experienced, but if he doesn’t have the attitude for the challenge ahead now, then step aside by all means.
 
If he got an early release I wonder if Bellache would be interested. Smith has no more than this year left. Brandon Smith is still awfully green and they might see value in a hooker rotation.

Unlikely, but wouldn't rule it out.

Absolutely no chance the Storm will release him and Smith is also very happy to bide his time under Cameron Smith.

He didn’t want to leave the Cowboys originally but has loved the move down south and doesn’t want to leave anytime soon.

We get his old man on the Cowboys forum still so this is all from the horses mouth.
 
Living in Melbourne as an NRL player would be pretty sweet, nobody really knows who you are and the city is like a better Sydney with sh*tter weather. Also the fact that most of the players out of that system play like absolute machines.
 
Sam doesn't like the way he believes the Knights treated his cousin Tony, So he is carrying on like a pork chop!
His rant isn't a true reflection of how Sio feels about the situation.
 
Kind of like how when Paul Crawley was butthurt enough blamed the Knights for Bennett messing things up lol, when his brother got flicked from coaching the Knights lower grades, when he or any of those goons at the Daily Telewhinge dont know a thing about what goes on at the Knights.

neither is reason its frustration Knights wont come to table on segeyaro until levi thing is done and every other club know it meaning he is being lowballed
 
Be harsh to blame Ayoub for injuries.
We bought a couple of guys who have spent years in rehab - so that's what happens.
He is pretty old school, and I see next year we have a guy for rehab and another guy for fitness - so Ayoub taking on both roles might be what the issue is.
 
Coaches or admin staff who travel from Sydney to Newcastle will naturally miss some hours working it's just too big a task to put in the extra yards whilst still living over 2 hours away. I reckon the club has decided we need 110% from everybody so Tony and who ever else was making the commute up the M1 got given the ultimatum.

I thought tony lived in Newcastle but his family was still in Sydney hence why he wanted to move home
