Toohey's News

Not doubting anyone’s take on Cannarvo as I have never seen him play, but if he left and then immediately gets into the Manly cup side maybe he isn’t that bad?

I was keen to see how he went for Manly cup side - just cringe worthy in the end.
5 fantasy points - 2 runs for 7 metres - hooked off the field after 10 minutes. named as 18th man in Flegg this week.

Now even more confused is there, their, they’re no end to this😩
It’s a bit long winded, but this is how a teacher explained it to us, many years ago.

For there, as in ‘over there’ - meaning a location you’ll see here in the correct there.
For their, as in ‘that’s their jumper’ - meaning it’s person/ownership, you’ll see heir in the correct their.
For they’re, as in ‘they’re going out’ - meaning they are going out, just shortened down to they’re. If they are doesn’t make sense in what you are meaning - it’s one of the other two.

Hope that helps 😉. English class is now finished 😊

My favourite is weather, whether and wether. If you don't know what the last one is, you'll feel sorry for them once you know.

Thanks Sir

Thomas Jenkins called into blues camp, obviously not to play or be on reserves list but they see a future in him.
He is playing out of his skin back at Penrith again, shame we couldn’t extract that talent,
Coaching, culture not sure but a lot of players blossom after leaving the club.

I do a bit about how punctuation is important if it changes the meaning of something. The founder of the scouts, Robert Baden Powell, wrote a book titled "Scouting for boys". No comma. Massive difference in meaning from "Scouting, for boys", but maybe it was exactly what he meant?

I feel like Jenkins was a unique case, he admitted never wanted to leave Penrith. He was happy to retire rather than play for anyone else.

I still don’t rate him to be honest. He’s much better than he was with us but there are other young players way more deserving to be called into train in Blues camp. It’s a bit strange to be honest.

So the top 30 spot for Hunt has an unusual provision - it could be activated next year if he plays 10 NRL games, or he stays on a development deal if he doesn't. Toohey says it's 85k for development or 200k for top 30 - so big difference.
A POS decision I think - not sure if it's a good thing or not.
