Hahaha, knights rejects list right there. Is have liked to keep Leo, but good people are making him out to be what he isn't
 
It is quite funny that they cite how bad the Knights pack has been as an excuse for Leo & KPP underperforming. Chicken or the egg situation. Maybe the pack would've looked a bit better if the "alpha pack leader" the Dogs have allegedly signed was actually that? Maybe the pack would've looked a bit better if the giant athletic freak out wide could actually make a dent in a defensive line occasionally and not play with the physicality of someone half his size?
 
Kepaoa is there, don't think he's ever been specifically featured in any of the social media posts but he's been around in the background. Video clip from a week ago of Brown running/kicking a ball has Kepaoa right behind him.
 
The hetherington take is not that ridiculous Craig has proven he can turn average in and out of first grade players into good nrl players jack.has all the gifts to be a great front rower just needs to stay injury free and be a little smarter with his decisions which Craig really gives them a simple role

I listened to some of it before turning it off and shaking my head as per usual. Their takes are just so basic like KPP with thrive under a great attacking coach like Benji. What has Benji shown as a coach to suggest that? They are basing it entirely off his playing ability. They’ve got NFI as the Thompson being an alpha talk shows.

I think Denan Kemp actually watches footy and keeps tabs on how teams are shaping up going forward. Struggle to listen to the other blokes a bit to be perfectly honest.
 
Apparently they gave Mooney a big rap which surprises me because he doesn’t play for the Chooks or the Broncos.

He's none of those things and never has been. He was signed by Gould presumably because he is a high IQ, high work rate forward who appears to be very coach-able and therefore, presumably, value for money for a club 'with a superior system'.

The Dogs didnt sign him to be an enforcer because he's never been an enforcer
 
Frizzel on NBN news talking about the halves - says they have tried different combos at every training session - says Sharpe is training at fullback and half and Smith is training at half and hooker.

Mooney is a dog, I think he will end up being better than Leo. Still would have loved to have kept Leo though. I think he checked out and will go back to being the player he was a couple seasons ago.

I’m with you. Was disagreeing with BIAB brains trust.
800k isn’t good value for money. I’m hoping he half arses it like he did for us in the back half and turns out to be an absolute lemon.

I want DB to play on the left, like he did for Parra and NZ, and pretty much play the same role, except I want him to always be the guy who gets the ball if he calls for it - which is basically the difference between a halfback and a 5/8 these days.

For context, Jarryd Mullen was our second best halfback ever, but most of the time he wore the 6 jersey. He did 70 or 80 percent of the kicking, always got the ball if he called for it, handled most sets and pretty much ran the side - while Tyrone Roberts played the role that i'd describe as a running 5/8 in the 7 jersey. Mullen did this to avoid being compared to Joey, but he was a halfback by any measure, and a very dominant one.

In short, if DB plays in the 6 jersey, but also calls the shots and runs the side in a ramped up version of his role at Parra, and pretty much exactly the role he played for NZ, i'll be thinking he's our halfback.

Yeah, the key to our attack this year will be Brown getting the ball in his sweet spot on the left. It doesn't take away from Ponga getting to his sweet spot in the left either. We should have enough going on out on the right to keep defences honest too. As long as Brown is setting up where he is comfortable,member and getting the ball when he wants it I don't think we should stress about what number is on his back. Best part about that too, it will be a lot easier getting Brown the ball in his sweet spot then finding Ponga in his which was our go to in previous years.

Check out league of inches podcast, its supercoach mixed with normal nrl chat, guys are a good listen.
