They don't seem to have rules about that now.
The best player for Newcastle Yowies was Kyle Laybutt, who I thought was PNG international who looks scottish.
Newcastle Yowies play Newcastle All Blacks at 3.30 on SBS.
The Yowies have Matt and Jermaine McEwen, Brad Tighe, Kiah Cooper, Heath Gibbs, MalieJ Townsend, Warren Schillings etc etc.
I haven't seen the All Blacks play, but I think they have Luke Walsh and they usually a lot of current and ex Knights.

POS will bring in a heap of train and trial guys, and I suspect the new coaches will have some "project players" they bring in as well.

I'm going to say we will start with our largest ever pre christmas squad - maybe as many as 60 in training.

Then again, Holbrook might go the other way and just concentrate on the top 30 and development players from day 1.

The only player I know had end of season surgery was Brodie Jones, and he had it pretty early so he should be right for training.

At this stage, I don't think anyone could predict what our pre-season will look like.

We should try to hire Shibasaki's psychologist.
The guy always had the size and strength, but if he dropped the first ball of the game you might as well take him off, because he wasn't going to catch anything all night.
Whoever got him to have some self confidence is the guy we need for our entire team.

Well I and others did suggest Madge take over as Knights head coach back then, but he isn't any good for us apparently.

Must only be able to coach a team primed to win and not out lot.

Watched the interview and reeked of a Johnny come lately who even admitted in the interview didn’t do extras in preseason, Obrien had a right to be filthy and against admitted his cup form was average.

He wasn’t a first grader, he was here on base wage for an opportunity he didn’t grab.

Sorry but the carry on of how treated our players is just more Obrien bashing.

Do all nsw cup players at clubs get time of day from the first grade coach?

He all but admitted he did himself no favours neither of us was a fitfor each other and he came here with the salts after no contract offer except for us.
