The Jersey Thread (official)

Completely agree....getting bored with the jerseys, especially the vertical stripes.
Don’t really care much about what the jersey looks like, as long as the players wearing them have a real red-hot go.
I would be happy for the team to be playing in corn bags if it made a difference to the heart underneath.
The Knights have lost their way after last season’s debacle finish and the rubbish that went on inside the club.
Just come out and play what the pioneers of the club called “the Newcastle way”.
Just do it!

Last brand new design was the 2022-2023 design.

For mine, yes, this design has nostalgia attached to it with the 1997-2000 era, but is tainted with the Tinkler/Bennett era (and aftermath of their era), and I can't shake that vibe as I see these 'new' jerseys. I think it's the slightly brighter blue and the skin-tight nature of the jerseys.

And personally, I'm so over white away kits (especially the white shorts that accompany the jerseys). I would love to see a return to a silver away jersey or even a mostly red one.

I hope one day we return permanently to the original design, done properly.

I would buy five of these ffs

The main thing teams should be looking for in Jerseys is for players to be able to pick out their team mates.
High vis is literally the most visable of designs possible.
They did studies to work out the most visable colours for everyone and found non colour blind people find red the most visable and the most common type of colour blind people find yellow the most standout of colours - and a particular shade of orange works for the majority of people - red and yellow combined.

In short - high vis with orange and silver would make it easy to see our players. I'd like to see them use high vis a lot more, to the point where the players will see high vis out of the corner of their eye and throw the ball.

I find it hard to pick a lot of teams apart these days because a lot of teams want to use a lot of dark blue and black to be a bit stylish.

The 2021 jersey for me was the best looking....the 23 one wasn't bad either

Even with that 2022 jersey, I’m pretty sure they said it was meant to be a combination of our 1988 jersey and our 2001 jersey.

I think, for me, the 2021 jersey was let down by the fact the front design didn't continue around the back. It just stopped at the side seams.

Need some help, would love to purchase a 2026 signed jersey from the team. Anyone know the best way to go about this? Should I call the club?

They have that on the Knights section of the NRLshop amongst other retro jerseys for anyone looking to get them.

Won't update mine to newer ones until the bookmaker sponsorships are phased out. Hopefully after 2027.

Certainly not our worst jersey; who could forget the battleship grey ones...and I have a deep dislike for the hi-vis nonsense (are we still doing that?).

I would love to see us come up with an away jumper that doesn't look like a Roosters knock-off.

The 2005 Coal and Allied Away alternate Red Jerseys (just the colour) were an eyesore. I have one, but its the blue version. I didn't mind that colour or style in general personally plus they made them loose.

I'd like to see us do something new with our away jersey.

Maybe swap out the white for black or purple, with red, blue, or both trim. Obviously, that makes those away jerseys closer to the Panthers or Storm, so they'd have to be careful of that with the design, but it couldn't be any worse than the Roosters comparisons with our current away strip.

I'd bet our Black Knights or Royal Knights away strips would be big sellers for the club.
